Tanhua's Exiled Immortal had always excelled at laying out foreshadowing. Through a few small exchanges in key scenes, he could weave readers into a vast grand design. His writing style of "using pits to fill pits, nesting pits within pits, patching pits while digging new ones" could only be torture for those who read nothing but simplistic webnovels. But readers who could truly immerse themselves in it, such as myself, would suddenly see the light and slap the table in amazement, thereafter unable to read any other xianxia novels. This was what Brother Dongfang Yushan, the "Silver Grand Alliance Leader," meant when he said, "Once you enter Exiled Immortal, the sea runs deep; from then on, no xianxia books remain worth reading."

After Tanhua wrote the thirteen chapters of tribulation transcendence in the Cultivation World Arc of Exiled Immortal, he left us with several enormous mysteries. For example, what karma would arise between the Underworld Judge who reached the Immortal Realm and Xiao Hua? What karma would arise between Xiao Hua and the fusion of the Primordial Ancestor and the Mother Worm of the God Realm after it reached the Immortal Realm? What exactly was the thing that ambushed Xiao Hua beyond the Heavenly Gate? Who was that enormous face in the sky that made both the Underworld Judge and the Mother Worm fear it? Why was the one who opened the Heavenly Gate through Xiao Hua's tribulation transcendence the thirteenth great god of the Witch Clan? Why did the Immortal Realm's Heavenly Gate carry the aura of the Witch Clan? This series of mysteries filled us with anticipation for Cultivation of the Godly Manual: Immortal Realm Chapter. This article would attempt to sort through the Immortal Realm Arc, which had only released forty-odd chapters, and examine Tanhua's vast grand design in detail!

I. The Secret of the Four Great Continents and the Enormous Face in the Sky

1. One of the Immortal Realm fragments was the Four Great Continents; the Immortal Realm was the Witch Realm, and the seals on the Four Great Continents were placed by gods of the God Realm.

As for the secret of the Four Great Continents, I had already stated in "Exiled Immortal's Great Revelations 2: The Four Great Continents Are One of the Immortal Realm's Fragments" that "the Four Great Continents are one of the Immortal Realm's fragments" and "the Immortal Realm is the Witch Realm," so I would not dwell on it here. This article would only discuss the story of "one great mountain and six tribes" that Star Moon Fairy wrote to Xu Zhi after The Gazetteer of Ghosts and Monsters of Yanzhou. This was Star Moon Fairy's greatest secret, one that had driven her into deviation and made her not even dare tell Xu Zhi directly, able only to convey it through obscure symbolism. In truth, this secret was the background of the entire story of Exiled Immortal. The Four Great Continents were not only sealed by three great immortal formations, but also surrounded by a time-light barrier. Thus, this secret could only be related to "the Witch Clan, soul cultivators, and those who mastered soul power and could be called Primeval Gods." Those who mastered souls could control life, death, and reincarnation, interfering with the karma of past lives, present lives, and future lives. Therefore, the ones who sealed the Four Great Continents were people of the God Realm.

2. The enormous face in the sky was Jing.

The enormous face in the sky was Jing, for the following reasons:

1. The Mother Worm's descendants could reach the Origin Power Tenth Rank at their strongest, requiring the combined efforts of several supreme masters to suppress them. The Mother Worm's strength was therefore unimaginable; a Guiding Emissary like the one who ambushed Xiao Hua within the Heavenly Gate could be instantly killed by the Mother Worm. Moreover, the Mother Worm came from the God Realm and was familiar with its aura. What could make her afraid could only be the aura of the God Realm.

2. The Underworld Judge controlled Undead Power in the Netherworld, making it the bane of all Mana. As for its terrifying strength, to borrow Xu Zhi's words, even the Heavenly Venerate of the Palace of Punishment did not dare provoke it. Then how could an Underworld Judge, one of the foremost figures of the Netherworld, fear some insignificant immortal of the Immortal Realm? The Underworld Judge could in fact also be regarded as a kind of enfeoffed god and was familiar with the God Realm's aura. Thus, what frightened it was the aura of the God Realm.

3. The destruction of the mayflies in the upper realm of the Three Great Continents was Jing's karma. Therefore, the great expert who expounded the Dharma made Jing undergo the tribulation. The enormous face in the sky was Jing peering across countless spaces to investigate the karma behind the mayflies' world-ending destruction. Thus, she glanced at the closed Heavenly Gate and said that she had come too late. And it was Jing's God Realm aura that made the Mother Worm and the Underworld Judge afraid.

II. The Identity of the Guiding Emissary Who Ambushed Xiao Hua and the Secret Behind Him

1. Guiding Emissary Wang Lang's identity was far from simple, for the following reasons:

a. To borrow Xu Zhi and Star Moon Fairy's words, the Law Enforcement Heavenly Venerate and the Heavenly Venerate of the Palace of Punishment were like fire and water. Yet Guiding Emissary Wang Lang had actually first served in the Palace of Punishment before serving in the Palace of Law Enforcement. Moreover, Wang Lang was even able to borrow the "Xingtian Immortal Artifact" used in Xiao Hua's tribulation transcendence from the Palace of Punishment. It was precisely because Wang Lang was unfamiliar with the Xingtian Immortal Artifact that he created such a farce as the White Light Kill—something that even the Mother Worm, the Underworld Judge, and the supreme masters of the Heavenly Alliance and Dao Alliance found utterly shocking.

b. Guiding Emissary Wang Lang was an incarnation—Guiding Emissary Wang Lang was an incarnation. This could be seen from the muttering of that stunningly beautiful woman from Yu Immortal. Wang Lang was not merely an incarnation; he was an incarnation capable of condensing immortal marks. Immortal incarnations in the Immortal Realm could not condense immortal marks, so Wang Lang's true body was anything but ordinary. c. Since Wang Lang, as an incarnation, condensed immortal marks, his true body was likely testing something. Otherwise, after Wang Lang died, his senior sister would not have flown into a rage and said, "How am I supposed to explain this to her?" Nor would she have said, "If you do not die, then I will." From this, it could be seen that not only was Wang Lang's true body's cultivation far from simple, but Wang Lang himself might have been an experiment of that true body, holding great significance to it!

2. The strange circumstances behind Guiding Emissary Wang Lang

Guiding Emissary Wang Lang was an Immortal Official of the Palace of Law Enforcement. Yet when he sought out the Yu Immortal organization, he did not produce a token from the Palace of Law Enforcement, but a token from the Heavenly Venerate Mansion. There was something suspicious here; the force behind Wang Lang was somewhat strange. Its strangeness lay in the following:

a. There were internal struggles and factions within the Palace of Law Enforcement. When Wang Lang's Hall Master went to find Xiao Hua, he had likely done so behind the back of the Heavenly Venerate of the Palace of Law Enforcement!

b. Wang Lang held two identities, one in the Palace of Law Enforcement and one in the Heavenly Venerate Mansion. This showed that "Heavenly Venerate" was merely an honorific title. In systems such as the Palace of Law Enforcement and the Palace of Punishment, there was more than one Heavenly Venerate. For example, the Heavenly Venerate of the Palace of Law Enforcement was actually the master of that palace. Yet the Heavenly Venerate Mansion had only one Heavenly Venerate. The "so-and-so" in "So-and-so Heavenly Venerate" was either that Heavenly Venerate's title or Daoist name.

III. The Secret Behind Xiao Hua Being Ambushed by Guiding Emissary Wang Lang

I had already discussed the reason Xiao Hua was ambushed by Guiding Emissary Wang Lang in "Exiled Immortal's Great Revelations 1: Xiao Hua's First Life-and-Death Crisis upon Entering the Immortal Realm and the Death of Star Moon Fairy." Here, I would add one more point:

1. The Sacred Lotus Seed and Xu Zhi: the "Sacred Lotus Seed" Xiao Hua obtained in the Layered Emerald Secret Realm allowed Xu Zhi to advance from a Qi Immortal into the realm of a Light Immortal, namely a True Immortal. Coupled with Xu Zhi and Star Moon Fairy having disappeared for a long time, this drew the attention of interested parties.

2. The time required to cultivate from a Qi Immortal to a Light Immortal was far longer than the time Xu Zhi had been missing. Xu Zhi drew attention because advancement through the realms of the Immortal Realm was extremely difficult. Going from a Qi Immortal to a True Immortal was an enormous threshold that many could not cross, and the time needed for advancement was very long—far exceeding the duration of Xu Zhi's disappearance. Or perhaps there was another possibility: when Xu Zhi disappeared, his realm had been so low that it should have been impossible for him to cultivate to the Light Immortal realm.

3. Taking the above two points together, regarding the opportunity involving the Divine Cultivation Mirror and Xu Zhi, the people behind Wang Lang all believed that Xiao Hua, this Ascended Immortal, was far from simple and possessed a great secret. Capturing Xiao Hua was firstly to prevent the secret of the Ye Qiong Heavenly Mansion from being leaked, and secondly to uncover the secrets upon Xiao Hua.

IV. Tanhua's Layout in the Immortal Realm

1. The fusion of the Mother Worm and the Primordial Ancestor, along with Xiao Hua's subsequent karma, might involve certain arrangements from the later stages of the Immortal Realm or even the God Realm. That fusion might well die in the Immortal Realm, and when that karma unfolded, it might be the moment the God Realm was introduced.

2. The Underworld Judge: the subsequent karma between the Underworld Judge and Xiao Hua was not only related to the hundreds of millions of souls in the Four Great Continents. Xiao Hua had previously also destroyed an incarnation of the Underworld Judge. Xu Zhi had once said, "The Netherworld is so powerful that even the Heavenly Venerate of the Palace of Punishment does not dare provoke it." Yet in the middle and later stages of the Immortal Realm, Xu Zhi and Xiao Hua would go provoke the Netherworld—what was called "in a rage that lifts one's crown for the sake of a beauty"! The formation of Xiao Hua's Netherworld, the awakening of Xue Xue and Helpless, would all be related to the Underworld Judge.

3. The enormous face in the sky and Jing's appearance laid the groundwork for the God Realm.

4. The thirteenth great god of the Witch Clan opening the heavens, along with its soul-cultivation aura, hinted at the past karma of the Immortal Realm.

5. Guiding Emissary Wang Lang was an immensely important transitional character. Before him lay the Divine Cultivation technique of the Ye Qiong Heavenly Mansion from the Cultivation World; after him, the map of the Immortal Realm unfolded. Through Xiao Hua's flight through the Immortal Realm—Mount Moban, the Purple Gold Ship, Wang Lang's senior sister, Wang Lang's true body, Seven Spirits Mountain, Primordial Spirit Mountain, and more—the grand curtain of the Immortal Realm slowly drew open before us!

In short, Cultivation of the Godly Manual: Immortal Realm Chapter had an extraordinarily vast structure. The number of life-and-death crises across the True Person's journey through its map far surpassed those in Exiled Immortal: Wuxia Chapter and the Cultivation World Arc of Exiled Immortal. It was very likely a book that would make Tanhua a god. Of course, if the Cultivation World Arc of Exiled Immortal were taken out on its own, Tanhua would already have become a god long ago!
