Arc 13The South Sea War

Xing Yan led the allied forces to defeat the South Sea and secure its surrender, while Meng Zhang escaped into the Ghost Spirit Abyss and returned transformed by Chaos. As Chaos attacked, Xing Yan saved the surviving armies, defeated Meng Zhang, and killed him after a goddess rescued Qiong Rong.

  • Xing Yan’s forces defeated the Nine-Headed Kuihui at Nine Wells Isle after Qiong Rong seized its Dragon Core, and Qiong Rong chose to remain with Xing Yan despite fearing he would reject her origins.
  • Xing Yan captured Jun Tai through a musical ruse and persuaded him to support Boyu, while the Devil Domain joined the campaign and Xi Ying rallied the South Sea defenders at Divine Wrath Reef.
  • The South Sea forces repelled the allied armies for three days, but Xing Yan’s forces broke through the reefs and the South Sea surrendered after Xi Ying disappeared.
  • Boyu seized power, imprisoned Meng Zhang and Chi Gang, and led the South Sea through surrender as Xing Yan returned Long Ling’s Dragon Core and the Lord of the Clouds arranged reparations.

Arc 14Return and Wedding

After the South Sea war, Xing Yan crossed Kunlun, helped restore Ju Ying to power, and returned to Mount Luofu to wait for Xueyi. With Xueyi restored, they agreed to marry, and the arc ended as his wedding procession entered Raocheng.

  • Xi He revived Lingyi and told Xing Yan that the Elder Princess of Western Kunlun could restore Xueyi’s scattered soul, while Qiong Rong insisted she could make the princess behave better.
  • Xing Yan buried the South Sea dead, laid Xueyi beneath Ice Cliff Cold Peak, and traveled with Lingyi and Qiong Rong to Horseshoe Mountain.
  • Qiong Tong met the Queen Mother of the West, learned she was her mother, and agreed to test whether Xing Yan had taken her in sincerely.
  • The Queen Mother invested Xing Yan as the Divine Lord of Great Splendor, then used Qiong Tong as leverage in a contest that ended with Xing Yan vanishing into blue smoke.
  • Xing Yan restored Xueyi with the Returning Soul Elixir, then left Mount Luofu to rescue Ju Ying from Marquis Changyi’s forces and helped her defeat the rebellion.
  • Xing Yan left Ju Ying in Luoyang and returned to Thousand Birds Cliff, where he tended Plum Soul until Xueyi truly came back to life.
  • Xing Yan read Ling Yier’s letter, proposed to Xueyi, and received the Dragon Lord’s approval and a treasure-filled dowry for her.
