Gua had desperately wanted to avoid meeting Obito, but now that they had run into each other, he had nowhere to go. He still hadn't found Kabuto.

With that, Obito watched Gua as though enjoying a show, eager to see his reaction.
Gua's pupils contracted slightly. "What did you say?"
Beneath his mask, Obito's lips curled. "Dead," he said casually.

The expression on Gua's face shifted from shock to calm, then to utter coldness.

Gua's gaze grew colder still. "I asked you who did it."
Obito paused, then dropped his joking tone and grew serious.
"Losing someone important hurts, doesn't it?"
"I used to be just like you. Back then, I had my friends, Rin and Kakashi."
Obito's voice was low, almost strained.
"But later, I lost them both. They both died."
"Maybe you think Kakashi is still alive, but he stopped being the Kakashi I knew a long time ago."
"From the moment Rin died, the bond between us was severed completely."
