After leaving the Hokage Building, Gua headed straight to Orochimaru's laboratory with him.
When they arrived, Anko was showing Kabuto around the laboratory.
He had not been to the laboratory for over two months, and Anko worried he would no longer know his way around. After all, the place had changed completely.
"Teacher has been tinkering with all sorts of strange new things lately."
"Look at this spinning thing. It can blow cool air in summer, so you won't have to go down to the river to cool off anymore."
"And look at this. It's called a bicycle. You pedal it to move, and it's much faster than running."
"Oh?"
Kabuto curiously examined the two-wheeled bicycle in front of him, intrigued despite himself.
"Honk, honk, honk!"
Anko laughed like a goose. "I can ride this around Konoha in an hour at most. Even if you ran until your legs were a blur, you couldn't keep up with me."
"Oh!"
Kabuto understood.
"That does sound pretty useful."
"Now look at this. An upgraded refrigerator! It can lower the temperature of an entire room."
Anko patted a rectangular contraption, showing it off to Kabuto.
"Teacher said that once the research is ready for practical use, he'll install one in my little room first."
Kabuto said, "Amazing, amazing. Can I have one installed too?"
"No, but you can come enjoy the one in my room."
Anko folded her arms and raised her chin, looking rather proud and pleased with herself.
That's how much Teacher values his eldest disciple!
Kabuto stared blankly at Senior Anko.
He realized that Senior Anko had grown even prettier.
At that thought, Kabuto unconsciously lowered his head.
"Anko, Kabuto, what are you doing?"
Orochimaru walked in with Gua. Seeing the two of them like that, he could not help
