"Why has Kumogakure suddenly decided not to fight again?"
Danzo stamped his feet in fury at the Shimura Compound.
The war had finally looked ready to spiral out of control, but Kumogakure had made no move whatsoever. Were they not going to fight?
Danzo couldn't understand it!
Just then, another shinobi came to report to him.
"Lord Danzo, we've confirmed the situation.
Kumogakure hasn't acted because they obtained the Byakugan."
Danzo: ?
What the hell?
"They obtained the Byakugan? Where did they get it?
Isn't Hizashi still alive and well?"
The shinobi continued, "It isn't Hizashi Hyuga's Byakugan. Apparently, it's just an ordinary pair of Byakugan."
Danzo still didn't understand.
"Even if it's just an ordinary pair of Byakugan, how could the Hyuga Clan agree to that?"
The shinobi paused. "Apparently, the Hyuga Clan didn't consent. That pair of Byakugan doesn't seem to have come from the Hyuga Clan."
Now Danzo was even more bewildered.
"If it didn't come from the Hyuga Clan, where else could it have come from? Where else would there be a Byakugan?"
The shinobi glanced at Danzo's expression and hesitated, unsure whether to say it.
"Speak!"
Danzo snarled.
The shinobi stopped holding back and immediately answered.
"It seems to be the Byakugan from your former laboratory."
Danzo: ?
Fucking hell!
Hiruzen Sarutobi!
I did all the dirty work, and you took every last fucking benefit!
Danzo completely lost it.
He turned to question the shinobi again.
"What about Fugaku? What did Fugaku say?"
"Clan Leader Fugaku said he needed to think it over."
The shinobi spoke with a trembling voice.
To be fair, he was a little scared.
After all, he had brought far too much bad news today.
Sure enough, Danzo flew into a rage after hearing the shinobi's report.
