When Gua slammed his hands on the table and sprang to his feet in his room,
Dashan and Nai climbed straight out of bed in the room next door,
hurried to Gua's door, and pushed it open.
They found Gua standing there in excitement.
Spread out on the table in front of him was the streamlined elite version of Dust Release that Orochimaru had copied out for him.
Hearing the commotion at the door, Gua turned to look,
and his heart immediately clenched.
Oh, crap. I made too much noise.
He couldn't help it. He had been sitting on this Dust Release for so long.
Now that the option to train it on idle had finally appeared, there was no way he could keep from getting excited.
Gua smiled at his father and mother in the doorway.
"Uh, a cockroach just got into my room. Would you believe that?
Yeah, that's right. That's what happened."
Gua nodded firmly, affirming his own story.
When lying, you had to find a way to convince yourself.
Only after fooling yourself could you fool someone else.
Clearly, though, Gua hadn't fooled himself,
nor had he fooled his dad and mom.
Uchiha Nai and Uchiha Oyama exchanged a glance,
both seeing the concern in the other's eyes.
"Gua, you can't do any more studying for a while."
In the end, Uchiha Nai settled the matter,
stepping forward to put away Gua's streamlined Dust Release notes.
Gua simply watched without stopping her.
Now that the idle-training option had appeared, he had no use for those notes anyway.
Next came the part where the system did its work.
"Got it, Mom. I'll go to sleep right now."
Gua obediently lay down on his bed and pulled the covers over himself,
looking every bit the well-behaved child.
