It was noon.
The sky remained dark and gloomy, and the torrential rain outside the barrier kept falling as the Convoy prepared lunch.
There was clearly no way Wu Meng and the others could finish all their waterlogged rice and flour in one meal, even with dozens of people eating together.
Although all the survivors had fallen into the water, none had developed cold symptoms or anything similar, thanks to the cold medicine Xingzi had given them.
Wu Meng looked at their last two bags of rice and the dried noodles that had stayed dry inside well-sealed packaging in the vehicles, her expression troubled.
"Our food was supposed to last us six months, maybe even over a year. Now I doubt it'll last much more than two months."
"And that's if we ration it."
As she spoke, she looked at Zhou Dun. "If we find somewhere to replenish our supplies, we'll have to go in too."
Zhou Dun sighed at her words. "I know."
"But our group has two sacrificial items. Their rankings might have dropped to somewhere past ten thousand, but they can at least hurt the Anomalies. We should be able to keep ourselves safe."
Beside them, Wu Jie kept nodding as he practiced swinging his long saber. "Exactly!"
"With Brother Zhou and me around, you don't have to worry, Sis!" He thumped his chest hard as he spoke.
"The two of us can kill any Anomaly! Then we can trade the supernatural materials it drops with Brother Chu or Grandpa Li."
Wu Meng frowned and smacked him on the head. "Don't try to play the hero!"
"Who said I wanted you fighting Anomalies?"
"Just stay alive. Don't think having a sacrificial item means you can take on an Anomaly. Keeping you alive matters far more than supernatural
