Beyond the Endless Volcanic Range.
Aboard a ship caught in an extreme rainstorm.
Zhou Qi and the other three gathered together.
Li Feifei's hair was completely white, her face covered in wrinkles, and her eyes somewhat cloudy. She looked like an old woman nearing the end of her life. Bracing herself with both hands, she spoke in a weak voice that nevertheless reached the others clearly.
"This place is too dangerous. In half a month, we've been attacked by anomalies seventeen times. On the worst day, we were attacked four times."
"If Uncle Zhou hadn't reached sequence seven, we'd probably have died long ago."
Li Feifei spoke, while Wei Haoran and Qi Yu looked extremely pale as well.
Only Zhou Qi, who had reached sequence seven, looked slightly better, though he was still pale.
Relentless attacks, immense pressure, and the constant fear that a sequence seven anomaly might attack.
All of it placed a tremendous strain on their minds.
It wasn't just them. Even the survivors in the cabin were equally weak.
Although Zhou Qi had reached sequence seven and modified the ship, the Mechanical Ship's structure hadn't changed much.
Its functions had improved considerably, but its power source remained the same. Human labor still powered the Mechanical Ship.
So these survivors did nothing but shuttle between two places and work.
Fortunately, the Mechanical Ship had an automatic fishing device. Otherwise, they would have had nothing to eat.
Every day, they woke up, ate fish, then took turns pedaling bicycles. They ate fish, kept pedaling, then ate more fish before taking turns sleeping.
Over and over again.
It was pure physical labor, yet they only ever had one kind of food. Although it filled their stomachs, eating nothing but fish left them short of other nutrients their bodies needed,
