Chu Sheng had imagined Lin Chaoyuan might ask him to upgrade some guns or bullets. He had even considered the possibility of artillery shells, but he had never expected Lin Chaoyuan to go this big.
He actually wanted him to enchant nuclear bombs.
Yes, rather than upgrading, Chu Sheng preferred to call this enchanting: taking something that was already immensely powerful but could not harm Anomalies and giving it that ability.
Upgrading improved an object further, while enchanting simply added the ability to damage Anomalies.
The two were similar, yet fundamentally different.
Looking at the three nuclear bombs before him, Chu Sheng thought it over before finally nodding in agreement with Lin Chaoyuan's proposal.
He couldn't help it. No man could resist the allure of a nuclear bomb.
As for Lin Chaoyuan's conditions, Chu Sheng had no intention of objecting to those, either.
He could tell that the terms Lin Chaoyuan had laid out were his bottom line. There was no room for negotiation.
But if he were Lin Chaoyuan, he would have done the same.
The biggest restriction was that he could not use the nuclear bomb against Kindling Base. As for other groups, he merely couldn't launch a nuclear strike first, but he had no need to use a nuclear bomb against them anyway.
There were even fewer restrictions when it came to Alien Races. He could bomb them whenever he wanted. Even human groups could be nuked outright if they provoked his people.
Ultimately, it really just meant he couldn't use the nuclear bomb against Kindling Base.
To Chu Sheng, that restriction was no big deal.
Without this nuclear bomb, they couldn't nuke Kindling Base anyway. With it, however, their deterrent against everyone else would be far greater.
They could even try blowing up particularly troublesome Anomalies.
