Night fell, and they gathered around the campfire.
The pot of mixed stew had Kakashi, Tazuna, Sakura, and the others singing its praises.
"Wow, I swear this is the best broth I've ever had. It's delicious!"
Sakura couldn't stop praising the broth as she drank from her bowl.
"Mm, this steaming bowl of broth reminds me of the old days, when every ninja squad had a cook assigned to it. How nostalgic," Kakashi agreed.
"Hmph, if you like it, eat more. You're only getting this meal because of Naruto." Sasuke wasn't impressed by their praise.
Naruto smiled at Sasuke. "Thanks for the hard work. This broth is great."
It was the same praise, but when anyone else complimented Sasuke, he would only frown and snap back haughtily. Naruto's praise, however, earned a soft snort. "Then have some more."
He was clearly delighted inside.
After dinner and a brief discussion, the squad agreed to take turns keeping watch.
Kakashi, Sakura, and the others hadn't brought tents.
All they could do was stare blankly at Naruto and Sasuke's little tent.
"Kakashi-sensei, do you know Sealing Jutsu? I want to learn! How is this a mission? They're clearly on their honeymoon!" Sakura looked enviously at the cozy tent nearby.
"Uh... your problem isn't that you don't have a tent. It's that you don't have a girlfriend like Sasuke. Don't be silly. Being single is pretty nice, too."
Kakashi tried to console her. Although he knew Sealing Jutsu, sealing such a large pile of supplies into a scroll wasn't realistic for him.
The size of the objects someone could seal depended entirely on talent, with no direct connection to their chakra reserves.
"All right, stop being jealous. I'll take the first watch, and you take the second. Get some rest."
With that, Kakashi flashed
