Only then did Sasuke leave, with Shikamaru utterly baffled by their conversation.
Watching Sasuke leave, Shikamaru felt completely confused. "What was that about? He warned me off last time, so why did he keep steering the conversation toward Naruto this time?"

At the street intersection outside the Nara Residence.
Sasuke had just reached the intersection and was about to head home.
Just then, however, he happened to overhear two Medical Ninja hurrying past.
"What? How could someone beat Senior Kakashi that badly inside the village?"
"I'm puzzled too, but that's what the director told us. We're supposed to go check on Senior Kakashi at his house."
Sasuke frowned at their words.
"Kakashi was seriously injured?" Sasuke watched the two Medical Ninja hurry past. "He was fine yesterday."
He checked the time. It was only nine thirty in the morning. Naruto will definitely still be training if I go back now. I might as well see how Kakashi is doing.
Since Sasuke had never been to Kakashi's house, he quickened his pace and followed the two Medical Ninja.
A little over ten minutes later, Sasuke easily found Kakashi's house by following them the whole way.
Sasuke did not go inside to visit Kakashi immediately. Instead, he waited outside for nearly ten minutes, only entering through the front door after he saw the two Medical Ninja leave with their examination reports.
