With Naruto and Sasuke's return, a long-absent trace of life stirred in the desolate, dilapidated residence.

The table was laden with Naruto's favorite dishes.
Although Sasuke had spent two years training like mad in Otogakure, every dish looked, smelled, and tasted wonderful. Nothing suggested he had gone two years without cooking.
"You're amazing, sis. You seriously expect me to believe you haven't cooked in two years?"
Breathing in the familiar aroma, Naruto couldn't help praising him. "It smells just like it used to. I wonder how it tastes."
Sasuke grew a little embarrassed under Naruto's gaze, but gave a proud little huff. "Then try it."
"Okay."
Naruto picked up an Oil-Braised Shrimp with his chopsticks and took a bite.
Then his eyes rolled back.
With a wildly exaggerated expression, he declared, "It's so good! Food like this belongs in heaven!"
"Oh, stop it. You never take anything seriously."
Sasuke rolled his eyes at Naruto. "Hurry up and eat. Don't you have to take food to your clone afterward?"
Naruto nodded. "Let's eat together."
Half an hour later.
Once the two of them had polished off the tableful of food.
Sasuke began clearing up. Afterward, he asked Naruto when they would leave the village.
Naruto thought it over and decided to leave Konoha for the Uchiha Ancestral Residence the following morning.
He had expected Sasuke, impatient for revenge, to object.
Instead, Sasuke merely gave a shy, awkward "Oh," then went off to wash up.
Noticing something odd in his expression, Naruto casually asked about it.
But Sasuke said nothing, only telling him to go take care of his own business.
Carrying the packed meals, Naruto used Flying Thunder God to return home once more.
