"Huh? You're making me feel like a total failure, Sasuke." Naruto scratched his head. "Why not put me to the test?"

"All right." Sasuke thought for a moment. "Then carry me home on your back?"

Naruto hadn't expected Sasuke's request to be so simple. He didn't know whether to laugh or cry, but crouched down anyway.

"Hop on. You'll have to climb up yourself."

Seeing Naruto already in position, Sasuke felt a flicker of panic.

He'd only been joking, but Naruto had actually taken him seriously.

"What, scared? Come on, sis, look how late it is. There's nobody on the street. Are you still worried someone will see?"

"Who... who said I was scared? Fine, carry me."

The words had barely left Sasuke's mouth when Naruto felt something soft settle against his back. Sasuke's long hair fell naturally beside his face, its fragrance drifting into his nose and throat.
