The Ancient One stared silently at Tony, her eyes seeming to say, Are you sure you aren't setting me up?

This doesn't look like you called me here to hunt Dormammu. It looks like you called me here for Dormammu to hunt. Are you secretly on their side?

Under the Ancient One's suspicious gaze, Tony gave a light cough, a flicker of embarrassment crossing his eyes.

Besides their earlier agreement, he had another reason for calling the Ancient One over: he wanted her to draw some of the fire away from him.

After all, Doctor Doom and his allies numbered four. Although Tony could guarantee that he wouldn't lose, he couldn't be certain he would kill Dormammu. That was why he had specifically called the Ancient One over as a precaution.

Now that the Ancient One was staring at him suspiciously, his guilty conscience naturally left him sounding less than confident.

"Don't look at me like that. Didn't you tell me to call you if I found Dormammu?"

"I did everything exactly as you asked."

Tony spoke calmly. The Ancient One was so frustrated she could have coughed up blood, yet she couldn't argue with him.

All she could do was grit her teeth. "Fine. Those three are yours. Hold them off, and I'll deal with Dormammu."

"No. I'll deal with Dormammu. You hold them off."

Tony refused without hesitation. After all, Dormammu was tied to a system reward. How could he leave something like that to someone else? He would only feel assured if he handled it himself.

"I-!"

The Ancient One got out that one word before faltering, utterly at a loss for what to say.

This guy is utterly shameless! Setting me up wasn't enough; he even wants me to draw their fire for him!
