The Ancient One glanced at him and scoffed. "Ego, if I were you, I'd take the brain at the center of my planet and flee."
Ego's heart lurched. "What do you mean?"
"Your son, Star-Lord, has awakened his light energy and inherited your gift perfectly. He also knows that his father is very likely an Ancient Celestial."
Ego's face lit up with joy. "Is that true?!"

The Ancient One smiled too. A scarlet symbol lit up on her forehead, and in an instant, a razor-sharp scarlet sword tens of thousands of miles long extended from her hand toward the ground.
