The Ancient One gave her two hopeless teammates a despairing look, then turned to secure the Pocket Dimension.
Star-Lord was still a little pale. "Ancient One, how is the Demon King so strong?"
As she set up a Magic Array around the Pocket Dimension, The Ancient One answered, "The Demon King is powerful because he possesses multiple essences, and, more importantly, because he has multiple worlds as his foundation."
Captain Marvel looked surprised. "Multiple essences? Isn't he afraid they'll conflict?"
The Ancient One paused, looking rather bleak. "I'm afraid he already transformed his own essence into a Demon King essence. That's how he can control multiple essences."
It was even highly likely that he had already converted most of his power into essence.
Just thinking about it pained The Ancient One. It pained her that her own body wasn't that tough.
Holding two world sources had left her in such agony that she had wished she were dead.
Star-Lord fell silent.
He was no longer a complete novice. He roughly understood what that meant.
Captain Marvel frowned. "Can he really improve that quickly?"
The Ancient One couldn't help laughing. "Then why don't you go fight him and find out?"
My fucking chances of winning have dropped this far, and you're telling me he isn't improving quickly?
He's willing to let his subordinates use three Stones. How strong do you think he is?
Captain Marvel covered her mouth and gave a couple of awkward chuckles without saying anything.

The Ancient One finished the Magic Array and clapped her hands. "But don't worry. We're not without hope. Now that we have Star-Lord, we can make much greater progress."
