The Ancient One smiled. All that mattered was that Thanos had joined them.
Star-Lord stepped forward to heal Thanos, helping him recover the power he had lost.
As it turned out, a creator god really was an all-purpose model. He was absolutely phenomenal as a healer.
Within ten minutes, Thanos looked much better.
"What are you planning to do next? I'm sure you know just how powerful Tony is."
Picking up an entire Dark Dimension and smashing it down on them-that outrageous move was something else.
The Ancient One pondered. "Among the infinite futures, we have a chance of winning. I just don't know where that chance lies. For now, our priority is to keep gathering strength to oppose the Demon King."
Thanos suddenly looked puzzled. "Ancient One, I'm risking my life against him for the sake of the universe. What are you doing it for?"
The Ancient One rolled her eyes. "My race!"
Born human, she would remain loyal to her people to the end.
Thanos fell silent for a while, then bared his teeth. "I forgot. You're a racist, too."
He had wiped out his own race, so that possibility hadn't occurred to him.
Thanos propped his chin on his hand. "Why not run? If you flee fast enough, you won't encounter the Demon King again before you die."
Running away was shameful.
But it worked.
The Ancient One took the Time Stone from her chest and tossed it straight to Thanos.
Thanos caught the Time Stone and raised an eyebrow. "What's this supposed to mean?"
"See for yourself."
Puzzled, Thanos held the Time Stone and peered into the future.
Countless images flashed before his eyes, and vast amounts of information exploded through his mind.
After just a few seconds, Thanos's purple face darkened.
Destruction. Endless destruction.
Devouring.
