After knocking Eddie unconscious, Peter was about to take him away when figures suddenly appeared all around them. Hideous monsters surrounded Peter and Eddie.
At the sight, Peter's face beneath his mask instantly grew serious, and he watched them warily.
They looked much like Venom had earlier, yet they were distinctly different, leading Peter to mistakenly believe they had come to rescue Venom.
Just then, the surrounding monsters opened two gaps, and a man and a woman slowly walked through them.
The man glanced at Peter, then at the unconscious Eddie, and smiled. "Mr. Spider-Man, our boss would like to see you. Please come with us."
"Who's your boss?"
Peter asked, hoping to gather more information.
"Well, you'll find out once you meet him. For now, please come with us."
The man extended his invitation with a smile, his manner elegant and gentlemanly.
Seeing that he couldn't pry any information out of him, Peter didn't bother wasting more words. He refused outright. "But I don't want to see him. If he wants to see me, tell him to come himself."
"Move. Don't block my way, or don't blame me for getting rough."
Peter's voice was icy, but the man paid it no mind.
"Mr. Spider-Man, I suggest you reconsider. No one can refuse the boss's invitation."
The smile remained on the man's face, but his eyes turned cold.
"Are you threatening me?"
Peter laughed.
Never mind how much stronger he had become-even if he still only had his old strength, he had Tony backing him.
