As his soul returned to his body, lasers burst from Tony's eyes once more, piercing straight toward a wall.
And Loki stood right behind that wall!
Loki's expression changed at the sight of the incoming lasers. He activated Illusion Made Real again, but this time, instead of creating illusions, he gave them physical form.
Defensive screens of light rose before him. In a fleeting instant, Loki erected more than a dozen of them.
But he had underestimated the Pig Talisman's power. Those lasers were energy condensed to its absolute limit; ordinary defenses could never stop them.
The screens merely weakened the two beams somewhat. A moment later, both lasers struck his chest and blasted him backward.
Boom!
With the explosion, Tony's senses finally returned to normal. Loki lay in a heap of rubble, looking utterly bedraggled, a watermelon-sized hole blown through his chest.
Tony could even see his stomach and intestines through the hole.
As for the rest of his internal organs, they had already melted under the lasers.
But a god was still a god. His very existence was on an entirely different level from a mortal's. An injury that could have killed an ordinary person a thousand times over was merely a severe wound to Loki, and whether it was even fatal remained uncertain.
"Cough, cough."
Coughing violently, Loki struggled to his feet.
At the same time, the gaping hole in his chest healed rapidly before Tony's eyes.
Tony's brow twitched slightly at the sight, a flicker of surprise crossing his face.
"Impressive."
"You really are stronger than I imagined."
Loki offered the praise. Though he looked somewhat disheveled, he still retained a god's elegance.
"But I am the God of Fire. Deception and lies are merely some of my talents. My true power is flame!"
