Nick Fury turned to Wanda. "And you are, ma'am?"
"Nick Fury? You don't know me?" Wanda gradually regained her senses. She seemed to realize she was no longer in her original world.
"My name is Wanda. The Scarlet Witch, Wanda Maximoff."
A button near Nick Fury's collar transmitted the name Wanda had given.
Elsewhere, the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. scrambled to investigate Wanda's background.
"Wanda?"
Wanda nodded. "It looks like I've... run into a bit of a problem."
"You certainly have. Your attack on that street injured thirty-three people, including two government personnel," Nick Fury said slowly, trying to put psychological pressure on Wanda.
But remembering her frenzied fighting on the street, Nick Fury refrained from pushing too far.
Nick Fury walked over to a couch and leisurely sat down. "Well then, Ms. Wanda, could you tell us about your situation?"
A bitter smile tugged at Wanda's lips. "May I ask what year it is?"
Rhodey raised his glass. "2006, ma'am."
Wanda's expression grew even more bitter. "So that's it? Time travel really exists?"
