Tetsuhiro cautiously rose to his feet. When he realized Madara had not doubled back to kill him, he wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and hurried away from that dangerous place.
He returned to Pangaea Castle as quickly as he could and headed to Taiji Hall.
Fortunately, Madara was nowhere in sight. Tetsuhiro breathed a sigh of relief and was about to return to his bedchamber when-
"Report! Your Majesty, Mount Myōboku has an urgent matter to discuss with you. They request your presence."
Tetsuhiro found this strange. Mount Myōboku never contacted him without good reason. The three sacred lands could barely hide from him fast enough, let alone seek him out.
"Could Gamamaru have foreseen something again?" At that thought, Tetsuhiro quickly pulled out a scroll and instantly appeared in the forest of Mount Myōboku.
"I have been awaiting your arrival, Your Majesty. This way, please..." Fukasaku bowed and immediately led the way. His strength had improved considerably since their first meeting.
"The Toad Sage seems rather anxious this time. It appears to concern the Empire."
"Oh? Then I suppose I owe him a favor."
They picked up speed and soon arrived inside the cave.
Perhaps he had grown too accustomed to living in the human world, but the place still felt damp and chilly when he returned.
An enormous red toad sat in the center. Tetsuhiro flickered over to him. "Thank you for your assistance, Toad Sage. I will grant you appropriate privileges in return."
Gamamaru replied cheerfully, "We can discuss that little matter later. First, the important part-I foresaw in my sleep that the next time you open a portal, the Empire's Frontline Base and Vanguard Army will be completely annihilated!"
"What?!" The shocking news left Tetsuhiro utterly dumbstruck.
Only after a while did he recover.
