Background / History

Konoha’s Founding and Senju Reform

Tobirama first appears shortly after Konoha’s founding, opposing Hashirama’s proposal to make Madara Hokage. Li Tetsuhiro, newly occupying Hashirama’s body, wins his reluctant cooperation by proposing village institutions and invoking their deceased brothers, Itama and Kawarama. Tobirama nevertheless detects the change in “Hashirama” and stabs him using Flying Thunder God. Tiezhu survives the interrogation by invoking the system’s one-use unconditional-trust effect and demonstrating Wood Release 1.

At the Senju clan meeting, Tobirama supplies records exposing the elders’ crimes against the Hatake, Kurama, and Uchiha clans. He supports the removal of their influence and the clan’s withdrawal from central Konoha. He subsequently helps establish institutions and enforce village laws, although he worries that reducing taxes against the daimyo’s policy amounts to rebellion 3 8.

Learning of Black Zetsu’s historical manipulation redirects much of Tobirama’s anger toward the concealed enemy. He vows to avenge Itama and Kawarama, while continuing to distrust Madara 8.

Deputy Hokage and Black Zetsu’s Attack

Tobirama organizes policies, voting, and emergency evacuation arrangements for Konoha’s first general assembly. Black Zetsu infiltrates the meeting and possesses him, using his body to object to Madara’s election.
