Yucas actually knew very little about Itra.
But the upheaval in Vordell District had shocked all of District 25.
After all, however far it had fallen, Vordell District was still a second-tier district, and its proximity to the Wasteland made it strategically important.
As Vordell District's leading gang, the Earth Gang was also a force to be reckoned with.
Naturally, these changes had alerted the Peacekeeping Forces, which had issued an assignment to investigate the series of events that had taken place in Vordell District.
Although the matter had little to do with Yucas, she was still a Branch Director of the Peacekeeping Forces. Now that she had found a lead, one inseparably tied to Jonas at that, she had to get to the bottom of it.
Just over ten days earlier, when she had returned to the Alt Corporation to report to Jonas, she had spotted the long-missing leader of the Earth Gang inside the company.
Yucas had naturally kept her expression composed, but inwardly, she had been utterly shaken.
She had long suspected that Jonas might be connected to the incident, but actually seeing someone involved in the upheaval in Vordell District appear before her had still filled her with shock and suspicion.
And so, Yucas decided to set aside her wariness for the time being, along with the assignment Jonas had given her, and return to the Alt Corporation to investigate the matter.
If she could confirm that Jonas really was connected to the recent upheaval in Vordell District, it would change the nature of the entire affair.
Having made up her mind, Yucas returned to the Peacekeeping Forces. After retrieving some equipment, she prepared to head back to the Alt Corporation to conduct her investigation.
But just then, Yucas unexpectedly received a call on her Communicator.
