The black market was a truly remarkable place.
Materials from all over District 25 gathered here, and the people transporting them generally possessed considerable abilities of their own.
Rather than a marketplace, it was more a place where capable hired hands fenced their loot. People could buy things here that they never saw elsewhere in District 25. That naturally included items that should have been destroyed long ago.
Given the black market's peculiar nature, its visitors were not limited to hired hands from the residential districts. Wealthy people from the First District and Second District came as well. After all, if they wanted something unavailable on the open market, the black market was undoubtedly their best option.
That was why the black market attracted such a mixed crowd. Here, one could encounter both gang members from the Slums and capitalists from the wealthy districts. The Angus District black market was famous throughout District 25, so one could even find many Title-Class figures here.
Of course, all this was not meant to demonstrate how wonderful the place was. It was merely a warning to visitors... whether they were gang leaders or conglomerate heads, they would do well to conceal their identities before entering Angus District.
After all, those desperate outlaws would not care who they were. In an environment without rules, the only law of survival was to keep oneself hidden.
A few characters lit up on a neon sign, and watery reflections shimmered across the futuristic pavement. Although the place looked rather cramped and lacked any distinctive buildings, there was no shortage of people packed into it.
"That's the entrance to the black market."
The girl's voice came from beside him. Jonas turned to look at her, her features faintly visible beneath her hood.
She was, of course, Miss Eiffel.
