The numbers on the elevator slowly climbed. Compared to when Yucas first came to the Alt Corporation, its security system had already undergone two rounds of upgrades.

The elevator doors slowly opened, and Yucas put her thoughts aside. Before her sat a man poring over documents.
Seemingly noticing her arrival, the man set down the documents in his hands and looked up at Yucas, a smile tugging at his lips.

Seeing Jonas act this way, Yucas could not help feeling a little resentful.
He did not seem to think leaving her out in the cold for several days was anything worth worrying about. Or perhaps he had deliberately ignored her feelings. Either possibility was enough to send Yucas's blood pressure through the roof.
