Apparently hearing the man's soft chuckle from the back seat, Esnie asked curiously.
At Esnie's question, Jonas's thoughts returned to reality. He waved a hand and said:
"Something interesting happened."
Although Miss Rhein had been trying to target him before this incident, Jonas couldn't really muster much hostility toward her.
Miss Rhein had certainly seemed intimidating at first, but as they interacted, Jonas gradually realized that her fierce exterior hid a timid heart. Even her subsequent actions against the Alt Conglomerate felt like nothing more than a little girl's tricks.
Even if Miss Rhein succeeded, she probably wouldn't have much of an impact on the Alt Conglomerate. Besides, their initial conflict had only started because Miss Rhein wanted to recruit him. After being rejected, she had lost her temper and tried to save face.
Looking back over the whole affair, Miss Rhein had suffered nothing but setbacks.
Under those circumstances, it really was hard to feel any hostility toward her.

"We've secured initial control over the resources they need, and the opposition within the Star of Dawn has all been dealt with."
Naturally, "dealt with" meant physically eliminated... Although the methods were bloody, they were undeniably effective. They also served to intimidate the Star of Dawn's members to some extent.
