"What? Carol has gone too far!"
At Senna Life, after learning that Carol had seized the benefits that should have belonged to her, Miss Rhein paced anxiously around her office.
Rhein waved her fists as she spoke, as though pummeling the person she imagined before her. After a long while, she sat down in a huff and looked at the documents her secretary had sent, only to feel her anger rising again.
This was hardly the first time the Arbitration Bureau had used its power to force Senna Life to back down. Rhein remembered all too clearly how the bureau had interfered with Senna Life's previous collaboration with the Alt Conglomerate, completely reversing a situation that had originally favored Senna Life.
Even now, she could only swallow her resentment and accept it. Nothing had ever come of the matter afterward.
Granted, without that incident, Jonas would never have approached her for this collaboration on virtual reality. But those were two separate matters. As far as Senna Life was concerned, the Arbitration Bureau had been throwing its weight around for years, and the company had long harbored a grudge.
As for the Alt Conglomerate, Rhein preferred to believe that Jonas had been left with no choice. If he had intended to work with the Arbitration Bureau from the start, there would have been no need to approach Senna Life. She would not even have gotten a scrap of the profits.
So this was definitely all that awful woman Carol's fault!
At that thought, Rhein clenched her fists and took a deep breath before calling her secretary.
"Find a way to contact the Federation. I want to borrow a batch of resources from the family."
