The Black Ring. Its primary effect was spatial transfer. Used at the right moment, it could redirect the energy fired by the Space-Based Weapon. Under the right conditions and with the right timing, the Black Ring could be activated to transfer objects through space.
Although this approach was not particularly reliable, it was the only option available now.
Jonas knew that the Black Ring was immensely powerful, but it also had limitations. It required psionic energy recognized by Little An to activate, and once activated, it would transfer the entire selected area to another location. Where exactly to send it, however, required careful consideration.
Jonas considered how to make the most of it. He knew that to use the Black Ring, he had to wait until the very instant the Space-Based Weapon fired. Only then could he use it to transfer that destructive energy somewhere it would cause no collateral damage.
He began calculating, trying to simulate every possible scenario. He had to choose a relatively open location to ensure that, when the Black Ring activated, the destination of the transferred energy would not endanger more people.
There was really no need to think about it.
There was already somewhere nearby that was open, uninhabited, and where the Space-Based Weapon's destructive energy would not affect anyone: the Wasteland. It was the ideal location.
On the other hand, he needed to ensure that he activated the Black Ring at the right place and time. This was an extremely difficult task, since he could not predict the Space-Based Weapon's exact firing time.
But as long as he could ensure that he was in the optimal position, the Black Ring still had a good chance of transferring the destructive energy, even if his timing was slightly off.
The main priority now was to
