Ye Chu was still sulking, his face turned away as he refused to look at Ye Mo.
The last time Ye Mo had coaxed someone was five years ago, and his methods had never changed: he would use little trinkets to catch the other person's attention. When they were children, it had been bubble gum, little cards, or toy cars. Now, it was a piece of candy he had finally found after rummaging through all his pockets.
Ye Mo held it out beside his hand. "Your big brother's treating you to candy." It had been so long since he had coaxed anyone that even the hand holding the candy seemed unsure, and his eyes held a cautious look.
Looking at the candy, Ye Chu's eyes reddened again. Ever since they were little, this seemed to be the only way his brother knew how to coax him. He snatched the candy and finally deigned to look up at Ye Mo.
"Little Eight, are you sure this way is safe?" Other voices suddenly reached them. Ye Mo held down Ye Chu as he tried to get up, then leaned out himself to see where the voices were coming from.
He saw a man with his medium-length hair tied back and a particularly alluring pair of upturned eyes. The man was yawning, looking utterly languid, and wore a badge marked with a one on his chest.
Beside him was a youth with a wolf cut and a dyed streak of red hair. He looked a few years younger, with strikingly fierce features, but his round eyes softened that fierceness. He looked like a student of barely eighteen, and the badge on his chest bore an eight.
"Brother One, if you don't trust me, you can try going your own way," the younger-looking one
