Qi Yu raised an eyebrow. "There's still time to beg me."
Ye Chu said nothing. The knocking and shouting outside grew louder.
"Brother Qi! We've come to drink with you!"
"Is Master Qi not home?"
"Impossible. He just said in the group chat that he was home."
Qi Yu pointed at the door and suggested, "Why don't you find somewhere to hide first? I'm not sure how these bastards will react if they see I've hidden an ordinary person here."
Seeing no other option, Ye Chu headed up the nearby stairs, opened the nearest room, and slipped inside.
He had barely hidden himself when Qi Yu opened the front door. Seeing more than thirty people crowded outside his house didn't faze him. "Why did you all suddenly come over?" he asked coldly.
Qi Yu always spoke to them in that tone, so no one found it strange. They simply swarmed into the living room and set all the alcohol they had brought on the table.
"Brother Qi, it's so dark in here. Why didn't you turn on the lights?" With a click, the speaker flipped the switch.
The living room came into view, decorated in a classic European style. The fire in the fireplace was almost out, and no one bothered to rekindle it. Expensive paintings hung on the walls, lending the whole room an air of opulence.
A long table stood across the center of the living room, covered with an expensive red velvet tablecloth edged with gold thread.
"I just woke up. Didn't get around to it." Qi Yu brushed the question off casually. Bored, he only wanted to chase the lot of them out.
Qi Yu gave a bored yawn, then suddenly heard something smash against the floor. The sound had come from the upstairs storage room.
