"Feng Zi also had that app, Infrared Remote Control, on his phone." Ye Chu held up a photo. "So he's a murder suspect too."
Su Fengzi narrowed his eyes.
"Also, I saw Feng Zi's handwriting, and it matched the handwriting on the note I found outside my bathhouse. That means you know how my father died." Ye Chu sounded certain, and Su Fengzi did not deny it.
"Didn't we mention earlier that Youyou was attracted to me...?"
Wu You rolled her eyes without saying a word.
"But I didn't like her..."
"Because you're gay."
Su Fengzi waved a hand. "Nah, that wasn't why, though I am gay."
Ye Chu paused, not having expected him to admit it so openly.
The others froze too, unsure for a moment whether he meant his character or himself in real life.
Su Fengzi seemed to notice their confusion. "My character is, and so am I in real life. I used to like a guy."
"Ooh!" Pei Yanchuan picked up the sunflower seeds from the coffee table, ready to enjoy the gossip.
"Oh, come on." Su Fengzi put the seeds in Pei Yanchuan's hands back on the coffee table. "Now's not the time for that. If you want to hear it, I'll tell you when we get back."
Su Fengzi steered the game back on track. "I didn't like Youyou because she once made a big show in front of me of releasing animals into the wild. I watched her put a saltwater fish into a river. I couldn't stop her in time, and I watched the fish die in the water. Later, overcome with sympathy, I retrieved his remains and put up a gravestone for him down below."
Wu You blinked and said guiltily, "Um... I didn't mean to."
Ye Chu nodded in understanding.
