Alola Region, Akala Island.
One of the Alola Region's four islands, Akala Island lay in the northeast of the region and was home to the famous Wela Volcano.
Although Wela Volcano blazed and erupted every day in Kiawe's heart, the actual volcano wasn't erupting.
There were trial sites here such as Brooklet Hill, Wela Volcano Park, and Lush Jungle-in other words, places where the Dominant Pokémon lived.
They were also among Alola's 100 Great Views,
just as famous as Kala'e Bay, where Li Wei lived.
The Hano Hano Resort was here too, a property owned by the family of Kahili, the new Gym Leader of the Horizon Gym.

Their first outdoor lesson would take place in Paniola Town-or, more precisely, at Paniola Ranch.
The sky over Akala Island was a pristine blue, and a breeze carrying the salty scent of the sea swept across the vast fields.
Led by Li Wei and Professor Kukui, Ash, Lillie, Mallow, Lana, Kiawe, and Sophocles
began their outdoor lesson with a warm welcome from Olivia, the Island Kahuna.
"Li Wei, Professor Kukui, and all you students, welcome to Akala Island!"
Olivia's outfit was lively, her shorts showing off her long legs, while her bronze skin looked especially healthy in the sunlight.
