Sixteen full baskets of Berries sat on the cart.
Lucario, Sirfetch'd, and Zeraora flanked it, making for quite an eye-catching procession.
But since Li Wei often visited this market,
the nearby vendors were already used to it.

"Only you could afford to feed them!"

As Li Wei passed a bakery, a poster on the door caught his attention.
"Alola Bread Carnival? What's that? Wait here for a moment."

Arcanine lay down right where he was.
Intrigued, Li Wei pushed the door open and went inside.
After casually picking out two pieces of Squid Sausage Bread,
he went to the counter to pay and asked about the Alola Bread Carnival while he was there.
"It's Alola's annual bread festival. Everyone makes all kinds of bread, and the most delicious one is chosen."
"The winner's prize is a trip around the Alola Region on a luxury cruise ship."
"Thanks. Making bread does sound pretty interesting."
The young woman at the counter smiled. "If you entered, Li Wei, wouldn't you have the championship in the bag?"
Li Wei smiled.
"That's an exaggeration. I rarely make bread."
What Li Wei made more often was dessert,
mostly for Cynthia.
And since Cynthia didn't like bread,
