An urgent alarm sounded from the portable Ultra Aura detector Faba had kept tucked against his chest.
The previously steady curve on the screen suddenly spiked.
A glaring red warning symbol flashed incessantly.
The direction of the strongest Ultra Aura reading pointed straight toward the little cabin ahead and its surroundings.
"This reading..."
Faba's voice cracked with shock, and he instinctively looked toward Lusamine.
"There's no mistaking it. An extremely powerful Ultra Aura reaction!"
"There's definitely an Ultra Beast near that cabin, and it could be incredibly powerful!"
At those words, Lillie, Gladion, and Lusamine all paled.
Huiyuan looked at them in confusion.
"What are Ultra Beasts?"
Faba gave a concise explanation.
"Simply put, they're Pokémon from another world, but they carry something called an Ultra Aura."
As he spoke, Faba raised his head proudly.
"And my device detects the Ultra Aura emitted by Ultra Beasts."
"But the question is, why would an Ultra Beast be here?"
"And with Father, at that."
Lusamine pondered for a moment.
"Perhaps that's the real reason Mohn is here."
"Mr. Huiyuan, can we contact anyone from here?"
Huiyuan shook his head. "Sorry, only a satellite phone would work, at best."
Faba took one out of the luggage.
"What a coincidence. I brought one."
Lusamine instructed him, "Tell Wicke about this, and pass the message on to Li Wei as well."
"Yes!"
"Let's go."
They had strength in numbers, and Gladion was already very strong. There was no need to fear a single Ultra Beast.
An Ultra Beast might be present, but that was no reason for them to stop.
Huiyuan stopped alongside the other guide.
"I'll wait for you here."
"All right."
The cabin was right in front of them anyway. They no longer needed a guide.
