Pallet Town.
The person who opened the door was Blue's older sister, Daisy. She wore a lab coat just like Professor Oak's, and had long brown hair with a green headband across her forehead.
"Hey, Daisy."
Daisy had asked Li Wei to call her that.
After all, Li Wei and Blue were good friends,
and Professor Oak and Li Wei's grandpa were good friends too.
"Luca!" A chorus of greetings from the other Pokémon followed.
Daisy was momentarily startled by the huge entourage behind Li Wei. She blinked.

This wasn't Li Wei's first time meeting Daisy.
It was his third.
He had seen her once at Bill's side during the research on Giant Dragonite, and again at the Pokémon Restaurant's opening.
Li Wei was a little surprised to see Daisy here. Shouldn't she have been at Bill's laboratory at this hour?
He soon learned why Daisy had suddenly come home: Bill was here too.
From where Li Wei stood, he could see Professor Oak and Bill through the clear glass, absorbed in their research.
Daisy said apologetically, "Please have a seat. We're still working on our research, so I'm sorry we can't give you a proper welcome."
Daisy brewed Li Wei a cup of black tea
