Watching Torterra eat was actually quite entertaining.
Especially when they ate alongside Budew and Hoppip.
They were barely as big as a Torterra's head, yet they could crowd around the same food bowl without the Torterra getting upset.
Torterra were naturally good-tempered,
and these three were exceptionally so.
Li Wei had dared to pet them as soon as they met.
After trekking over mountains and across rivers, the Torterra were clearly starving. Food scraps clung around their mouths, making them look adorably goofy.
Having watched Li Wei pet a Torterra, Shiyin asked tentatively, "Can I pet Torterra?"
"Torr~"
"Sure, go ahead."
Not only did the Torterra accept Shiyin's touch, it even stretched its head toward her and nuzzled her.
A Torterra's shell was hard, but the skin along its cheeks was softer. Mizuki and the others took the opportunity to examine them.
With her skills as a Pokémon doctor, Mizuki offered her assessment.
"These three Torterra probably need a full checkup."
Their long trek had left them with more than fatigue. They also had some injuries.
They had probably suffered quite a few attacks along the way.
"It's too late now. Let's ask Nurse Joy to examine them tomorrow morning."
While they were getting their checkups, Li Wei would also have to think about where they should live.
Although the Torterra could roam around the Breeding Center, they would certainly spend less time moving around than sleeping,
so choosing a suitable place for them to live was all the more important.
The Torterra weren't picky. Once they finished eating, they lay down by the dining room entrance, ready to sleep.
