Panda Restaurant.
While Franklin was enjoying lunch at the Panda Restaurant,
a Pancham seemed to have been drawn by the aroma of food and curiously approached the glass wall.
To prevent visitors from feeding the Pokémon, the glass wall was completely sealed, so the Pancham probably could not actually smell anything.
Its round body pressed against the glass, its little nose sniffing hard as its big, dark eyes fixed on the bamboo-tube rice in the other visitors' hands.
"Wah?"
It tilted its head, watching a visitor scoop up a spoonful of rice, its black and white grains distinctly separated, and put it into his mouth.
The young visitor found this amusing. He mimicked its head tilt, then deliberately raised his spoon a little higher and made a show of how delicious the food was.
"Wah! Wah!"
The Pancham seemed even more excited. Its little paws lightly tapped the glass, as though saying:
"Let me try! Let me try!"
Unable to hold back a laugh, the young visitor picked up a sesame-and-bamboo-shoot bun,
and waved it at the Pancham through the glass.
The little Pokémon's eyes instantly lit up.
Copying Franklin, it grabbed a small bamboo shoot beside it, raised it, and showed it off through the glass.
Look, I have one too!
Franklin was thoroughly amused.
He quickly picked up his camera and asked the young visitor for permission.
Once the young visitor agreed,
Franklin captured this playfully innocent moment of "dining together through a window."
The young man held up his bun, and the Pancham held up its bamboo shoot.
A human and a Pokémon shared a wordless exchange over food, separated by a transparent barrier.
Franklin left the Panda Restaurant feeling deeply satisfied.
He had unexpectedly captured such a heartwarming moment of "dining together through a window."
