It was a quiet afternoon with a faint air of gloom.
Alamos Town stood on a plateau in the middle of a lake in southwestern Sinnoh, with a bridge connecting the plateau to the mainland.
Mountains surrounded the town, with densely wooded hills offering lovely scenery.
There was none of the bustle of a modern city here, only an elegance and tranquility steeped in time.
When Li Wei entered Alamos Town with Diancie, Lucario, and Zeraora,
he still felt a little nervous, but he found himself drawn to the sights before him.
The most striking building in town had to be its central landmark-the Time Tower.
Over 250 meters tall, the Time Tower soared into the clouds, standing head and shoulders above all the other buildings.
Perhaps it was the influence of the architect Gaudí.
Baroque buildings in gentle colors lined the streets, their intricate reliefs and stone walls speaking of the weight of history.
In the central square, an ancient fountain burbled while white pigeons strolled leisurely across the pale yellow paving stones.
The air carried the aroma of coffee, the sweet scent of fresh bread, and a hint of moisture from the lake.
Yet beneath that tranquility, some danger seemed to lurk. The townspeople wore subtle traces of exhaustion and worry on their faces.
Inside a café, people spoke in hushed voices.
"I had another nightmare last night... It felt like something was chasing me, and I couldn't wake up no matter what..."
"Me too. I dreamed I fell into a pitch-black, bottomless pit. It was terrifying!"
Remembering that feeling of weightlessness,
the people discussing it still felt shaken.
"I heard Darkrai was behind it?"
"You heard that from Baron Albert, didn't you?"
"That's right."
But what could they do about it?
"I heard
