The two walked shoulder to shoulder for quite a while. When they were only a few dozen meters from the dormitory, Ji Xie silently handed the cake to Li Xian.
After taking it, Li Xian inexplicably recalled what Ji Xie had said last time:
"You didn't even save me a bite."
He quietly glanced up at Ji Xie. His expression was neither happy nor unhappy. As Li Xian watched him, he found himself asking:

Even Li Xian was surprised by the words once they left his mouth, but he didn't regret them. He quietly waited for Ji Xie's answer.
Ji Xie raised his eyebrows and looked around, as though asking, "Where?"
Li Xian pointed at his dormitory building. "We can just find an empty room. You'll have to disguise yourself when we go in, though. You can turn into that little thing inside the Instance too, right?"
Ji Xie finally spoke:
"I can, but..."
After saying this, he suddenly looked Li Xian up and down with an odd expression. Then he reached out, took the coat draped over Li Xian's shoulders, and put it back on himself.
Li Xian: "?"
Then he heard Ji Xie continue:
"But you don't have a single pocket. Where am I supposed to hide?"
As Ji Xie spoke, his gaze lingered around the hem of Li Xian's skirt, seemingly by chance. Li Xian instantly understood what he meant, and his face flushed bright red.
"What are you thinking?! Give me back the coat!"
No wonder he'd just put the coat back on. He'd been... he'd been planning to crawl under his skirt!!
It was rare for Ji Xie to see Li Xian so flustered. Laughing, he caught the hand Li Xian was trying to strip the coat off him with.
