Mashiro repeatedly ignores his warnings and takes the spirit’s attacks head-on. Nanami attacks its weak points and attempts to interrupt a fireball aimed at her. After she survives and creates an opening, he delivers the decisive strike to its core 8 9.

He pays her ¥1,000,000, including money for medical expenses, and offers referrals for suitable work. He subsequently arranges lodging and forged adult identification for ¥300,000, enabling her journey to Sendai 9 10.

Tide Echo and Emergency Dispatch

Nanami briefs Mashiro on Tide Echo, a Grade 1 curse occupying a flooded Shinagawa warehouse where two Window investigators have disappeared. While Mashiro defeats the curse and gains its techniques, Nanami retrieves a surviving investigator from the underground pipes 23.
