Chapter Summaries

Suguru Geto and his allies protected Riko Amanai from the Q Organization, while Toji Zenin arranged a bounty through broker Nakano. After Riko woke and learned her escorts were bodyguards, she defended her planned assimilation with Lord Tengen before panicking about the time.

• Suguru Geto subdued a Q Organization member and showed him a photo of Bayer embedded in a wall, revealing that Satoru Gojo and Wana had defeated him.
• Toji Zenin asked Nakano whether the bounty had been posted, then left to handle the rest of the job.
• Riko Amanai woke in the hotel corridor, slapped Satoru Gojo, and accused him and Suguru Geto of being villains.
• Kuroi explained that Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, and Wana were there to protect Riko, and Riko reluctantly accepted them as her bodyguards.
• Riko insisted that assimilation with Lord Tengen would not erase her, and she cried out after Kuroi said it was not yet noon.

After an attacker destroyed Suguru Geto’s watchful cursed spirits, Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, and Wana rushed to protect Riko at Renji Girls' Academy. Suguru defeated the old man who attacked him, while Satoru and Wana continued toward Riko’s possible locations.

• Suguru Geto, Wana, and Kuroi agreed to give Riko time with her friends, and Satoru Gojo accepted the plan despite his misgivings.
• Suguru Geto sensed that his two cursed spirits had been destroyed, so Satoru Gojo headed for the chapel, Wana and Kuroi went to the music room, and Suguru went to investigate.

• Wana and Kuroi found the music room empty and headed toward the chapel, where a whip-wielding curse user confronted them.
• Wana told Kuroi to continue to the chapel, then used Projection Sorcery to strike the curse user and withstand her Bewitching Hair-Binding technique.
• Wana defeated the curse user with a kick to the face and ran toward the chapel.
• Satoru Gojo entered the chapel, found Riko among the students, and led her outside amid the girls' teasing and the music teacher's flirtation.
• Satoru Gojo told Riko that curse users were attacking, lifted her onto his back, and ran across the roof toward the campus edge to return to Jujutsu High.

Satoru Gojo defeated a group of attackers targeting Riko and learned that a bounty had been placed on her. The fight ended when Riko received a message revealing that Kuroi had been kidnapped, leaving Riko determined to rescue her in Okinawa.

• Suguru Geto warned Satoru Gojo that a thirty-million bounty had been placed on Riko and that it expired the morning after tomorrow.
• Several identical paper-bag men confronted Gojo, who identified their cloning technique and defeated them with Limitless and his fists.
• Gojo tried Cursed Technique Reversal-Red against the last attacker, failed, and knocked him unconscious with a punch.
• Riko received a photo of Kuroi tied up and a demand to trade the Star Plasma Vessel for her at noon the next day in Okinawa.

After rescuing Kuroi, Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, Wana, and Riko spent time together in Okinawa instead of returning to Jujutsu High immediately. Riko's spirits lifted as they explored the island, while Nanami and Haibara stayed behind at the airport to support them.

• Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, and Wana regrouped with Riko and planned to rescue Kuroi, but Riko insisted on going to the exchange so she could say goodbye to her.

As Three-Phase Buddha kept Zhiyan under pressure, Zhiyan summoned his shikigami and began looking for a way to overcome the spirit’s defenses.

• After searching the village and finding no cursed spirit, Zhiyan decided to return to Jujutsu High, suspecting that someone had deliberately sent him there and cut off the assistant supervisor’s contact.
• On his way out, Zhiyan sensed he was being watched and confronted Three-Phase Buddha, a Special Grade cursed spirit sent to kill him.
• Zhiyan’s wind blades and lightning were nullified by Three-Phase Buddha’s [Silent Void Aspect], while the spirit’s [Wrathful Gaze Aspect] sent powerful black palm strikes at him.

Jujutsu Headquarters abducted Shoko and Masamichi Yaga from Jujutsu High while Zhiyan remained trapped in a battle with the Three-Phase Buddha. After Shoko’s failed call reached him, Zhiyan abandoned his preparations and began summoning something as the chapter ended.

• Shoko waited anxiously for Zhiyan at Jujutsu High until an old man and two sorcerers arrived to take her by order of Jujutsu Headquarters.
• A sorcerer seized Shoko’s phone, ended her call to Naoya Zenin, and smashed the phone when she tried to contact him.
• The sorcerers escorted Shoko outside, where she saw Masamichi Yaga being restrained, and the two were driven away in separate cars.
• Zhiyan discovered the Three-Phase Buddha had to change aspects after roughly half an hour, but Shoko’s interrupted call made him fear she was in danger.
• Unable to leave the fight or wait for an opening, Zhiyan recalled Tiger Funeral and the Divine Dogs and began a dangerous summon with the chant, “Furube-yura yura-.”

Zhiyan summoned Mahoraga to fight the Three-Phase Buddha, while hiding in the shadow world under a binding vow that made the spirit his first target. Mahoraga adapted to the Buddha’s abilities, but the Buddha opened his domain and prepared a massive assault.

• Zhiyan summoned Mahoraga and escaped into the shadow world, binding Mahoraga to attack the Three-Phase Buddha first.
• Mahoraga charged the Three-Phase Buddha with the Sword of Extermination, but the Buddha nullified the strike with the Silent Void Aspect.
• The Three-Phase Buddha’s attacks barely slowed Mahoraga, who imitated his palm-imprint technique as the Dharma Wheel spun and accelerated his adaptation.

Mahoraga defeated the Three-Phase Buddha, leaving Zhiyan to face the shikigami alone in the subjugation ritual. Zhiyan used his newly created technique, Calamity Fall, to subjugate Mahoraga, then flew toward Jujutsu High to confront the people responsible.

• Mahoraga's roar dispersed the Three-Phase Buddha's palm strikes and incapacitated him long enough for Mahoraga to cut him down.
• As the domain collapsed, Mahoraga turned toward Zhiyan, the remaining participant in the subjugation ritual.
• Zhiyan combined the five elements with positive and negative cursed energy to create and unleash Calamity Fall against Mahoraga.
• Zhiyan sensed that Mahoraga had filled the vacant tenth shikigami slot and realized he had successfully subjugated it.
• After recovering some cursed energy, Zhiyan summoned Nue and flew toward Jujutsu High to settle accounts with the people there.

Toji ambushed the group inside Jujutsu High's barrier and stabbed Satoru Gojo, but Gojo drove him back and fought him while Suguru Geto escorted Riko and Kuroi toward Master Tengen. Wana soon left them to return and help Gojo.

• Toji appeared behind Satoru Gojo and stabbed him in the chest, startling Wana, Riko, Kuroi, and Suguru Geto.
• Gojo sent Toji flying with Blue, and Geto trapped him inside a Cursed Spirit before Wana checked Gojo's wound.
• Gojo told Wana and Geto to escort Riko and Kuroi to Master Tengen, and the four set off for the Tombs of the Star Corridor.
• Toji burst free from Geto's Cursed Spirit and resumed fighting Gojo, who recognized Toji Zenin and struck him with Blue.

Wana rescued Gojo and attacked Toji, but he stabbed and knocked her unconscious before continuing toward the Tombs of the Star Corridor.

• Satoru Gojo cleared the surrounding area with Blue, but a swarm of Fly Heads drowned out his ability to sense Toji's Cursed Spirit.
• Satoru Gojo realized Toji's real target was Riko Amanai and turned to reach Suguru Geto's group.
• Toji appeared behind Satoru Gojo and pierced his throat with the Inverted Spear of Heaven.
• Wana knocked Toji's blade aside and carried Satoru Gojo to a tree, where she tried to stop his bleeding.
• Wana attacked Toji, but he stabbed her in the abdomen and kicked her into a tree, then walked toward the Tombs of the Star Corridor.

Riko Amanai rejected assimilation and chose to live, but Toji shot her just as she reached for Suguru Geto’s hand. Geto fought Toji in the Tombs of the Star Corridor, and the chapter ended as Toji’s Inverted Spear of Heaven closed in on him amid a burst of purple lightning.

• Suguru Geto told Riko Amanai she could leave with Kuroi instead of being assimilated, and Riko admitted that she wanted to live and go home.
• Toji shot Riko before she could take Geto’s hand, then revealed that he had killed the two guards.
• Enraged, Geto sent Rainbow Dragon and Kangiten against Toji, but Toji survived Rainbow Dragon’s charge and cut through its body with the Soul-Eater Blade.

• Zhiyan arrived and told Suguru Geto that Wana and Satoru were fine, then sent Geto to care for Riko.
• Toji charged Zhiyan, but Zhiyan dodged the Inverted Spear of Heaven and punched Toji through wooden pillars.
• Zhiyan sensed a brief cursed-energy fluctuation in Toji's brain and concluded that an implanted switch was controlling him when triggered.
• Zhiyan fought Toji with Playful Cloud, using his familiarity with Toji's style to strike him in the chest and send him flying.

Toji recalled his brutal childhood in the Zenin Clan and how Zhiyan became his student before waking after a fight in the Tombs of the Star Corridor. Zhiyan sent Suguru Geto and Satoru Gojo on separate tasks, then entered the Divine Tree’s barrier alone to investigate its secrets.

• Toji remembered surviving the Zenin Clan’s dungeon as a child, killing the man who imprisoned him and the guards sent after him, and later agreeing to train Zhiyan.
• Toji woke beside Zhiyan in the damaged main hall and identified the attackers as Zhiyan’s uncle and a woman with stitches on her head.
• Zhiyan said he would send his uncle a gift, then met Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto at the Tombs of the Star Corridor entrance.
• Satoru told Zhiyan that Wana and the Star Plasma Vessel were alive but unconscious, and that he and Geto had taken them to the Gojo family hospital.
• After a phone call, Zhiyan sent Geto to Kyoto and Gojo to pick up three people, then told Toji to accompany him.
• Zhiyan entered the Divine Tree’s barrier alone, where an ethereal voice welcomed the bearer of the Ten Shadows Technique.

Zhiyan learned that Tengen would leave Jujutsu Society’s affairs to the sorcerers and would give him fifteen years to find the cursed tool [Fixed Shadow] before assimilating another Star Plasma Vessel. Meanwhile, Satoru Gojo visited Megumi Zenin to bring him and his family, and was struck by Megumi’s resemblance to Toji Zenin.

• Zhiyan asked Tengen about the Star Plasma Vessel mission, and Tengen said they knew nothing about the events beyond the mission, protector selection, and Time Vessel Association.
• Tengen said they would not intervene in Jujutsu Society’s affairs unless the situation became critical, and identified [Fixed Shadow] as a possible way to prevent their evolution.
• Tengen gave Zhiyan fifteen years to find [Fixed Shadow before they would assimilate another Star Plasma Vessel, and Zhiyan thanked them before rejoining Toji.
• Satoru Gojo arrived at Megumi Zenin’s home, confirmed his identity by calling Zhiyan, and entered to wait for Megumi’s mother and sister.
• Satoru Gojo saw a family portrait featuring Toji Zenin and later told Megumi that Zhiyan was very strong, though weaker than himself.

Ogi Zenin learned that Naoya Zenin had survived and returned to Tokyo Jujutsu High with Satoru Gojo and Toji Zenin, so he launched a rebellion against Naobito Zenin before Naoya could reach the estate. Naobito ordered the rebels killed, and as battle engulfed the Zenin Clan estate, Zhiyan arrived to settle his score with Ogi.

• Ogi Zenin heard that Naoya Zenin was alive and returning, and decided to start his plan rather than face the consequences of his plot.
• Zhiyan called Naobito Zenin and said he would kill Ogi Zenin, warning Naobito to watch his uncle until he arrived in about twenty minutes.
• Ogi Zenin mobilized loyal members of Hei, Lantern, and the Kukuru Unit to seize Naobito Zenin’s study.
• After learning of the rebellion, Naobito Zenin ordered his people to kill anyone who rebelled against the clan.
• Fighting broke out throughout the Zenin Clan estate as defenders fought to protect Naobito and the forbidden storehouse.
• In the rain, Zhiyan entered the estate and told Ogi Zenin that they had scores to settle.

Zhiyan and Mahoraga crushed Ogi Zenin’s rebellion, and Zhiyan arranged care for Maki and Mai after discovering their abuse. He told Naobito Zenin that he planned to challenge Jujutsu Society’s leadership, then left to reunite with Satoru and the others and rescue Shoko.

• Mahoraga killed Taihe and broke into Ogi Zenin’s courtyard while Zhiyan confronted Ogi in his study.
• Ogi attacked Zhiyan, but Mahoraga crushed his arms and legs before killing him despite his pleas and curses.
• Zhiyan learned that Ogi’s wife and daughters Maki and Mai had been abused and imprisoned, and he ordered attendants to find them shelter.
• Zhiyan told Naobito Zenin that the killings were only the beginning and revealed Satoru Gojo, Kamo Xian Di, Suguru Geto, and Lord Tengen as his allies.
• Naobito agreed to support Zhiyan’s plan to challenge Jujutsu Society’s leadership, and Zhiyan left to meet the others and bring Shoko to safety.

Shoko refused Jujutsu Headquarters’ attempt to control her, while Zhiyan and his allies stormed the headquarters to rescue her and Mr. Yaga. After Satoru Gojo killed the hidden higher-ups and Lord Tengen refused to help their leader, Zhiyan reached Shoko and embraced her.

• Shoko refused the old man’s offer of money and safety, then held on to her faith that Zhiyan would come for her.
• Yuko Kurokawa told Xian Di that Jujutsu Headquarters had taken Shoko and Mr. Yaga, and joined Zhiyan’s group as they set out to rescue them.
• Zhiyan, Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, Toji, Xian Di, and Yuko attacked Jujutsu Headquarters, with Satoru Gojo blasting open its gates.
