"I'm sorry, Mrs. Itadori, but you're no longer in a condition to deliver naturally. We need to perform an emergency C-section. Please bear with it for now. The pain will stop soon."

The nurse did her best to soothe the pregnant woman on the operating table.

Mrs. Itadori really was beautiful.

She lay on the operating table with her eyes closed, her pale face almost entirely drained of color. Her disheveled short hair was damp with a thin sheen of sweat, making her look especially fragile and broken.

The nurse really loved beauties like her.

"Oh."

Kenjaku gave a cold reply with his eyes closed.

He was struggling to endure the stabbing pain inside his body. His vision kept going dark, and he felt as though he were falling.

Damn Jin Itadori. If he hadn't ruined things, the children would have been out by now.

Kenjaku numbly felt the anesthetist inject anesthetic into his body, then just as numbly felt the doctors cut an opening in this body's abdomen.

Half an hour later, the doctor removed the first child from his abdomen.

"Mrs. Itadori, your first baby is a boy~"

Kenjaku turned his face and glanced at the tiny infant held up beside his eyes.

With a thin layer of pink fuzz and a wrinkled face, he looked just like an underdeveloped monkey.

The nurse held the baby upside down and gave his bottom a smack. A second later, the thing let out its first cry in this world.

The child's half-open eyes were pale gold, the same coloring as his father, Jin Itadori.

Kenjaku knew this was the vessel he had wanted to give birth to, but the child's appearance utterly disgusted him.

He averted his eyes in distaste, unwilling to look at this son.

"All newborns look like that!"

The nurse smiled faintly at Kenjaku's reaction.

Plenty of first-time mothers reacted this way. It was nothing unusual.

Two more minutes passed before the doctor removed another infant from Kenjaku's belly.

"The second one's a boy too~"

Having endured this far, Kenjaku grew a little more serious. He wanted to see just what this thing was.

But when his gaze shifted to the child, that familiar presence made his expression change slightly.

"You..."

Jin Itadori and Wasuke Itadori had waited in the corridor for a long time. Finally, after the operating room light went out, the nurse wheeled the two children out.

"Mother and children are safe, Mr. Itadori. Both twins are boys~"

Kenjaku was still in the operating room getting the final stitches, so the nurse had brought the children out first.

Jin Itadori carefully leaned in to look at his children.

His elder son looked so much like him that there was no question he was his own flesh and blood.

His younger child had delicate features. The black fuzz and unconsciously parted little mouth seemed to bear some resemblance to Kaori.

As Jin Itadori looked at them, he felt as though his heart would melt.

Not long afterward, a nurse wheeled a pale-faced Kenjaku out of the operating room. The moment Jin Itadori saw his wife, he had eyes for no one else, not even the children.

His attention remained fixed on his wife until they reached the reserved hospital room.

Kenjaku's eyes were unfocused. He stared straight at the children's cribs and unconsciously murmured something, but his voice was so quiet that Jin Itadori couldn't make out what he had said.

"Kaori, what should we name our children?"

Seeing that his wife's attention remained on the children, Jin Itadori hurriedly brought over a swaddled baby, afraid Kenjaku wouldn't be able to see the child's face.

"I thought of a name. How about Yuji Itadori? What should we call our second baby?"

Jin Itadori couldn't hold both children by himself. He gazed at his younger child's face for a long while, looking hesitant.

"Alluka. Call her Alluka."

Looking at this child, Kenjaku drifted into his memories in a daze...
