Just as Satoru Gojo finished speaking, he sensed an enormous amount of cursed energy following close behind. "Stop the car."

Ijichi hit the brakes and stopped on the road, puzzled. "You want me to stop here?"

Satoru Gojo opened the door and got out. "Go on ahead to the principal."

Ijichi still didn't understand. "Huh? Is this some kind of test? Like, if I drive away now, you'll beat me up?"

Satoru Gojo sighed. "Do I look like that kind of person? I said go, so get going."

"Then I'll be off." Ijichi drove away.

Watching Ijichi drive into the distance, Satoru Gojo turned toward a spot nearby. "All right, come on out."

"Ee~yah!"

Jogo descended from the sky and landed directly in front of Satoru Gojo, the force of his landing shattering the ground.

Satoru Gojo leaped back the instant Jogo landed, putting some distance between them.

Once he was farther away, Satoru Gojo studied Jogo's single eye and strange outfit and couldn't help asking, "What are you?"

But Jogo had no intention of answering. While Satoru Gojo was speaking, he swept his large hand through the air, and a volcanic protrusion instantly appeared on the wall beside Satoru Gojo.

Without any warning, a searing pillar of fire erupted from the crater.

The fire surged out with incredible speed, engulfing Satoru Gojo before continuing unabated over the forest beside the winding mountain road.

Smoke and dust billowed everywhere, and the intense heat melted the ground into a semimolten state.

Jogo watched his swift attack swallow the so-called strongest human.

He grinned smugly, exposing his black teeth. "Heh heh. So much for the strongest human."

But before Jogo could enjoy himself for even two seconds, the smoke cleared.

A red sphere slowly emerged, then gradually faded, revealing Satoru Gojo completely unharmed. "Who were you saying wasn't much?"

"Hmph." Somewhat surprised that Satoru Gojo was unscathed, Jogo twisted the plug on the side of his head, preparing to continue the fight.

Judging by his opponent's attack and the enormous amount of cursed energy radiating from him, Satoru Gojo

could now confirm that he was fighting a cursed spirit-and an unregistered special grade cursed spirit at that.

It could even converse normally with humans. That was highly unusual.

Satoru Gojo looked at Jogo. "Special grades are called special grades because they're special. Having them suddenly pop up in little groups lately is pretty unusual."

Jogo took a fighting stance. "What? Did that hurt your pride?"

Satoru Gojo clenched his fist and smiled. "No. Quite the opposite. Now I'm interested."

As Jogo spoke, insects kept pouring out of the crater on his head and circling in the air. "Interested? You really have no sense of danger."

"Ember Insects!"

At his call, the airborne insects plunged down at tremendous speed. A piercing buzz rang through the air, and they were already in front of Gojo.

Completely unfazed, Satoru Gojo held one hand out in front of him. "Heh. Coming after me without knowing what you're up against? You're the one with no sense of danger."

Boom!

The insects slammed into Satoru Gojo's Limitless at full force.

The powerful shock wave tore up all the ground behind Satoru Gojo.

No matter how fast the insects flew, they were stopped in front of Satoru Gojo, unable to advance an inch.

Satoru Gojo studied the insects. "Pretty powerful. What would happen if they hit me?"

Before he finished speaking, the insects suspended before him began writhing and shrieking, their cries unbearably sharp.

"A sound-based attack?" Satoru Gojo had only just noticed it.

The insects immediately exploded, sending flames soaring into the sky.

But it accomplished very little.

Satoru Gojo jumped onto a platform beside the road. "A two-stage attack using sound and explosions. Very creative."

"Quit running your mouth." Jogo followed close behind him.

In the blink of an eye, he appeared beside Satoru Gojo, raised a miniature fire tornado in his hand, and slammed it straight onto Satoru Gojo's head.

"I'm not done yet!"

While flames enveloped Satoru Gojo's head, Jogo quickly circled behind him. The compressed, scorching flames in his palm erupted again, engulfing Satoru Gojo.

Dust flew everywhere.

Jogo stared at the churning dust before him. "Heh heh. An idiot who's all talk. Humans really are false and hollow. The strongest? Nothing but something the weak have blown out of proportion."

Suddenly losing interest, Jogo turned to leave. "There's really no reason for a race as false as humanity to exist. I'll have to use death to show humans what pure strength truly is."

"Hey, didn't this just happen a minute ago? Are you a goldfish? You don't remember anything."

Jogo turned back, his eye wide with disbelief, and saw Satoru Gojo waving away the smoke.

"What's going on?"

Seeing Satoru Gojo unharmed completely overturned Jogo's understanding.

Satoru Gojo explained patiently, "It's simple. You didn't hit me."

Jogo clearly didn't believe a word of it. "Impossible. That attack was nothing like the first one. I struck you with my own hands at point-blank range."

"What you actually hit was my Limitless."

Seeing that Jogo only half understood, Satoru Gojo continued patiently teaching him. "Don't get it? I'll show you. Reach out your hand and feel it."

Satoru Gojo held out an open hand and waved it back and forth. "Come on. Come on."

Jogo stood there staring at Satoru Gojo's hand. After an internal struggle, he decided to give it a try.

After all, Satoru Gojo wasn't giving off any killing intent. Any extra information would help.

He slowly walked up to Satoru Gojo and brought his hand close to his. "What?"

Their hands couldn't touch. Jogo was actually far more shocked than he let on. I can't touch him. I really can't touch him. Is this Limitless?

"Well? You felt it, right? The closer you get to me, the greater the resistance. Learned something new, didn't you? I can even shake your hand." Ignoring Jogo's shock, Satoru Gojo took his hand as he spoke.

By the time Jogo wanted to refuse, it was already too late.

Satoru Gojo gripped Jogo's hand, raised his other fist, and punched him. That ordinary-looking punch doubled Jogo over like a shrimp, sending a mouthful of blood spilling from his lips.

Only after that punch did Jogo realize Satoru Gojo had merely been toying with him.

Jogo had no chance to resist. Satoru Gojo swiftly landed three more punches, then released his hand and sent him flying into the air with a whipping kick.

Satoru Gojo raised his index finger toward the airborne Jogo, a red sphere steadily taking shape above it. "Infinity is everywhere.

"I merely put infinity to use, contracting it and expanding it. But what would happen to you if you accidentally touched the void formed by infinity?"

"Cursed Technique Reversal: Red."

The attack came from almost point-blank range. Jogo saw only a flash of red before an irresistible repulsive force hurled him hundreds of meters away, obliterating every stretch of forest along his path.

The instant Jogo landed, he adjusted his position without hesitation, hoping to use the forest terrain to keep fighting Satoru Gojo.

Unfortunately, his speed was far too slow for Satoru Gojo.

Despite all his darting and dodging, he couldn't even touch the hem of Satoru Gojo's clothes before a kick sent him into a lake in the forest.

Lying in the lake, Jogo recalled Kenjaku's warning. Only now did he realize that Kenjaku hadn't exaggerated in the slightest.

He stood and wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth.

Looks like there's no easy way out today. I can't hit Satoru Gojo through his Limitless.

Then I'll have to drag Satoru Gojo into my domain.

Jogo stood in the lake for a while. Everything around him was silent. "Where did he go?"

Tokyo Jujutsu High.

The screening room.

Yuji Itadori watched the movie intently, holding the soundly sleeping cursed corpse in his arms.

Satoru Gojo approached from behind. "Yuji."

Yuji Itadori jumped, but unlike before, the cursed corpse in his arms didn't wake up and hit him. It kept sleeping soundly.

Yuji Itadori looked back. "Gojo-sensei, didn't you have something to do? Why are you back already?"

It seemed that even calling out to him suddenly caused no problems. He could move on to the next stage. "Yuji, come out with me. We're having a lesson outside the classroom. I'll teach you the pinnacle of jujutsu combat: Domain Expansion."

Satoru Gojo grabbed Yuji Itadori and was just about to teleport when he suddenly remembered something. "Right, Shin too. We need to bring him along. He's been wanting a special grade cursed spirit."

The room at the far left end of the dormitory.

Full from her meal, Nobara Kugisaki lay comfortably on her stomach on the floor.

Meanwhile, Maki Zenin, Panda, and Toge Inumaki stared in stunned disbelief.

They finally understood why Chiyo Shin had told them to hurry up and eat when he arrived.

Chiyo Shin's chopsticks left afterimages as he shoveled food into his mouth. "You're all awful. Not only did you leave me on the field, you came here to eat delicious shabu-shabu."

"Megumi made these meatballs, right? There's so much ginger in them."

Megumi Fushiguro felt his scalp twitch as he watched Shin. "You're lucky you have food at all, and you're still being picky."

"Yeah, yeah. I'll stop talking."

Just as Chiyo Shin was frantically stuffing himself,

Satoru Gojo quietly appeared behind him, holding the Bone-Binding Umbrella. "Hey, Shin. Stop eating and come out with me."

"Strange. Why can I hear Gojo-sensei's voice? I must not have eaten enough." In truth, Chiyo Shin had noticed Satoru Gojo the moment he came in.

But how could he betray the shabu-shabu? He buried his face in his bowl, utterly unwilling to face reality.

Satoru Gojo could only resort to a teasing tone. "Can't hear me? Oh dear, what a shame. I ran into an incredible special grade cursed spirit this time, and I was going to..."

Chiyo Shin instantly turned and threw his arms around Satoru Gojo, his gaze earnest. "My esteemed teacher, is that true?"

Satoru Gojo handed the Bone-Binding Umbrella to Chiyo Shin. "It is, but you've already wasted some time. Careful, or the cursed spirit might run away."

Chiyo Shin took the Bone-Binding Umbrella. "Let's go right now."

Megumi Fushiguro watched the two disappear. "Those two really are birds of a feather."
