By the time Chiyo Shin and Kokichi Muta returned to school, the baseball game had already ended.
The 30th Annual Goodwill Event
had ended with Tokyo defeating Kyoto by two wins.
Kokichi Muta's arrival dealt everyone another shock after the game.
"You can even fix a Heavenly Restriction?!" Maki Zenin was stunned to see Kokichi Muta restored. She stared at Chiyo Shin, demanding an explanation.
Chiyo Shin hurried to explain. "Maki, I can only restore what's missing physically. As for cursed energy, cursed energy is just..."
Chiyo Shin stumbled over his words for ages without finishing.
Seeing his reaction, Maki Zenin knew it was impossible. She calmed down and said, "Forget it. I'm already used to being like this." Then she turned and left.
Mai Zenin followed when she saw Maki leave.
Chiyo Shin stayed where he was, silently watching their retreating backs.
He gradually began considering the possibilities. Was there really no way to give her cursed energy?
What would it be like to understand my cursed technique to its fullest? I should be able to do it then, right?
Chiyo Shin's mind kept working.
The Kyoto students were no less shocked than Maki Zenin.
"Are you really Mechamaru?" Kasumi Miwa circled Kokichi Muta before stopping in front of him. Studying his face, she gave him a thumbs-up. "You're pretty handsome."
Kokichi Muta blushed at Kasumi Miwa's compliment. "Thank you. I asked Chiyo to restore my body."
As he stumbled through his words, his eyes accidentally met Kasumi Miwa's.
They both froze, then their faces flushed crimson.
Momo Nishimiya whispered to Noritoshi Kamo, "Look."
"I see them. What about it?" Noritoshi Kamo asked, bewildered.
Momo Nishimiya looked incredulous. "Huh? You can't tell?"
"Tell what?" Noritoshi Kamo was even more confused.
Momo Nishimiya covered her face with both hands. Clueless guys. I have no words.
Just then, relationship expert Aoi Todo walked up beside Noritoshi Kamo, speaking in a deep, impassioned voice. "Kamo, this is love beginning to blossom. Just like me and Takada-chan."
Aoi Todo opened the pocket watch hanging around his neck and gazed lovingly at the picture of Takada-chan inside, occasionally glancing at Itadori's photo too.
Momo Nishimiya couldn't bear to watch. She pulled Noritoshi Kamo away from Aoi Todo. "Come over here. I'll explain."
An airport in Unknown Country
A gorgeous, curvaceous woman with long blond hair drew stares throughout the airport.
Yuki Tsukumo folded her sunglasses and hooked them onto her neckline, saying helplessly, "Now I have to go back and take a look. What's happened in the years I've been away?"
After tossing the letter into the trash that day, Yuki Tsukumo had gone home and turned on her phone, only to be bombarded with messages.
Now she had no choice but to read them.
She read them carefully.
Chiyo Shin? I remember him. I think he's the genius Satoru Gojo found.
Ah, what a shame. Why couldn't I have found him?
What? Detention and death sentence? What happened?
Why didn't the letter mention it?
No, I have to go back to Japan.
The complicated series of thoughts that followed reading the letter left Yuki Tsukumo with no choice but to return to Japan.
The Cursed Warehouse at Tokyo Jujutsu High
Two professional interrogators were questioning Haruta and Juzo.
Juzo Kumiya barely needed questioning. As soon as he woke up, he blurted out everything he knew in a jumbled mess.
Although his account was disjointed, there was some useful information in it.
There was an unidentified curse user, a monk who drank alcohol and ate meat, along with a white-haired person of indeterminate gender, tentatively classified as another curse user.
After that, no matter what the interrogators did with their torture instruments, Juzo Kumiya only repeated the same things.
A subsequent psychiatric assessment determined that Juzo Kumiya had mental problems.
Left with no choice, they shifted their attention to Haruta Shigemo.
Things went a little better with Haruta Shigemo.
At first, like Juzo Kumiya, he only gave them the same scraps of information.
But once all the Miracles on his cheeks were used up, Haruta Shigemo could no longer endure anything and spilled everything.
The interrogators initially took careful notes-until they heard a name.
"Suguru Geto."
Masamichi Yaga's office.
Satoru Gojo sauntered in and sat down across from Masamichi Yaga.
Masamichi Yaga handed him a file. "Satoru, you need to stay calm about what comes next."
Masamichi Yaga hadn't believed it at first, either. The student he had lost was alive again. Who could believe that? Yet the facts were right there in front of him.
Satoru Gojo took the file, opened it, and read every line, every word.
The smile he had arrived with gradually gave way to a grave expression.
Suguru Geto?
Satoru Gojo shot up from his chair, his body trembling. "I want to hear him say it myself."
"Satoru, calm down..."
Masamichi Yaga reached out to stop him, but before he could finish, Satoru Gojo vanished.
Masamichi Yaga stood dazed for a moment, then sighed.
He walked to his desk and took a spotless group photo from a drawer. He simply stood there, looking at it.
The Kyoto Jujutsu High students returned to Kyoto after the Goodwill Event ended.
Tokyo's second-years saw them off.
With nothing else to do, Chiyo Shin and the others returned to the student dorms.
Megumi Fushiguro, Junpei Yoshino, Yuji Itadori, and Nobara Kugisaki gathered together.
Chiyo Shin stood shirtless, showing everyone his new abilities.
"Well? Pretty impressive, right? That disaster turned into a blessing. I don't have to carry cursed tools around anymore, because I absorbed both First Generation Moon and the Bone-Binding Umbrella."
As Chiyo Shin spoke, tattoos of Coffin of the Iron Mountain and Jogo appeared on his upper body.
The tattoos moved across his skin at Chiyo Shin's will.
They looked striking, like dragons swimming across his body.
"That's so cool," Junpei Yoshino and Yuji Itadori praised in unison.
"Right? I can use Jogo's abilities too." As he spoke, two flames appeared in Chiyo Shin's hands.
"Does your body feel uncomfortable at all?" Megumi Fushiguro asked.
Chiyo Shin checked himself before answering, "Not so far."
Then he picked up an apple. With a sweep of his five fingers, he sliced it into four equal pieces and handed them out.
"That's pretty handy. Chiyo, you're in charge of chopping vegetables whenever we eat together from now on," Kugisaki said, taking a piece.
"Hehe, sure." Chiyo Shin picked up another apple and started eating it himself.
Inside the interrogation room
Haruta Shigemo was dragged out of his cell again, and the interrogators brought him before Satoru Gojo.
"Tell me again. What was that monk's name?" Satoru Gojo stared coldly at Haruta Shigemo as though he were already dead.
Someone was using his best friend's name to commit evil after his death. Unforgivable.
Haruta Shigemo had never felt such terror. Stammering, he gave a name. "Suguru... Geto."
Bang!
A deep hole the width of a bowl appeared in the wall behind Haruta Shigemo.
"What did he look like?" Satoru Gojo refused to believe it.
"Don't kill... me. I'll... tell you everything. He wore black monk's robes. His eyes were small, narrow. He had long, loose hair, with a lock of bangs on the left. He smiled a lot. I don't know anything else. I don't know!"
Satoru Gojo had terrified Haruta Shigemo out of his wits. With every key detail he gave, the aura of the man before him grew more intense.
Haruta Shigemo was terrified that one wrong word would get him killed the next second. He didn't want to die yet.
After hearing Haruta Shigemo's description, Satoru Gojo felt his scalp throb.
This was impossible.
