Ch. 22Transfigured Humans

Chiyo Shin, Yuji Itadori, and Kento Nanami followed cursed residue to a theater rooftop, where they discovered the apparent cursed spirits were transformed humans. After Chiyo restored their bodies, the victims remained unconscious, and he began studying ways to heal their brains as the group prepared for a dangerous enemy.

  • Ijichi cleared the theater scene, and Nanami showed Itadori how to see the faint cursed residue left by cursed techniques.
  • Shin, Itadori, and Nanami followed the residue to the rooftop and found two apparent cursed spirits; Shin noticed one still wore a noisy watch, and Nanami confirmed it appeared in a photograph.

  • At Jujutsu High, Shin told Itadori and Nanami that he had restored the two victims' bodies, but they remained unconscious with possible permanent brain damage.
  • Shin said he would study books on the human body to find a way to heal the victims, while Nanami warned that their enemy had deliberately lured them to the theater to show off his creations.

Ch. 23Mahito

Mahito explained cursed spirits to Junpei Yoshino and showed him the results of his human-altering experiments, then encouraged Junpei to act on his desire for revenge. At Jujutsu High, Kento Nanami assigned Yuji Itadori and Chiyo Shin to investigate Junpei while he went after Mahito.

Ch. 24Toy

Ijichi, Yuji Itadori, and Chiyo Shin confronted Junpei Yoshino after he returned from meeting Mahito, trying to determine his connection to the cursed spirit. Junpei began to doubt Mahito and accepted Chiyo’s offer of help, while Kenjaku watched and questioned Chiyo’s identity.

  • Ijichi explained that Yuji and Chiyo should test Junpei with a fly head and arrest or subdue him if he proved dangerous.
  • Junpei prepared to attack Mr. Tomura, but Yuji caught the fly head Chiyo had released before it could reach them.
  • Chiyo drove Mr. Tomura away, and Yuji and Chiyo took Junpei aside to ask about the movie theater incident.
  • Junpei recognized the fly head but denied knowing anything, then protested when Chiyo showed him reports linking Mahito to the deaths.

Chiyo Shin destroyed the Sandworm cursed spirit and freed them, then prepared to fight Mahito’s transfigured humans while Yuji Itadori and Junpei Yoshino guarded Nagi Yoshino.

  • Kenjaku and Mahito sent a transfigured mosquito carrying Sukuna's Finger into the Yoshino House and lowered a Curtain around the area.
  • Chiyo Shin spotted the mosquito, warned Yuji Itadori and Junpei Yoshino that Mahito was nearby, and tried to get the Yoshino family to leave.

  • Chiyo Shin buried Mahito and the transfigured humans underground with Golden Repair, then returned to the surface with Yuji Itadori, Junpei Yoshino, and Nagi Yoshino.
  • A butcher-like special grade cursed spirit trapped the group in its domain while Mahito emerged from underground and used Idle Transfiguration on Chiyo Shin.
