| Name | Shoko Ieiri 6 |
| Original Name | 硝子 |

| Age | Sixteen at her introduction to the group 9 |
| Affiliation | Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu High School 6 10 |
| Occupation/Role | Student, healer, and medical support for fellow sorcerers 10 11 26 |
| Primary Ability | Reverse Cursed Technique, including healing other people 6 9 |
| First Appearance | Chapter 6, “A wielder of Reverse Cursed Technique” 6 |
Appearance
Shoko has a languid bearing and a pleasant voice, with a lazy, casual manner of speaking 6.
- Short haircut — Niji finds her short-haired appearance particularly attractive 6.
- Facial mole — Located near the corner of her eye 6.
Personality
Shoko is relaxed, sardonic, and difficult to fluster. She treats Niji’s first healing session casually despite his embarrassment, and watches his dangerous spar with Gojo without visible alarm. She initially considers Niji more levelheaded than the other boys, but keeps her distance when he volunteers to interrupt Gojo and Geto’s argument 6 7 8.
Her apparent laziness contrasts with sustained dedication to medicine. She studies medical textbooks after class and during breaks while her classmates play basketball. By the missing-sorcerer investigation, she is preparing for her medical license and has spent much of her free time reading rather than playing 10 11 13.
Shoko enjoys photographing embarrassing moments and readily joins her classmates’ pranks. Her enthusiasm for Gojo and Geto’s feminine outfits becomes unsettling enough that Niji retreats from her. During treatment, however, she draws a line: when Gojo’s teasing upsets the anesthetized Niji, she orders him out of the infirmary 23 32 39.
Her concern for Niji becomes explicit after his near-fatal encounter with Jogo and Hanami. Rather than praising indiscriminate self-sacrifice, she argues that he must weigh his capabilities and the consequences of his death before treating his own life as expendable 37 38.
Abilities & Skills
Reverse Cursed Technique
Shoko can use Reverse Cursed Technique to heal other people, a capability she already possesses before enrolling at Jujutsu High 6 9.
- Completely heals Niji’s hospitalization injuries, leaving him without chest or arm pain 6.
- Repeatedly repairs injuries caused by Niji’s experimental training; she remarks that treating him has greatly expanded her understanding of human muscles 17.
- Assists Gojo’s recovery after he learns Reverse Cursed Technique during Toji’s attack 19.
- Treats Toji after Hollow Purple removes muscle and part of the ribs from his left chest 20.
- Regenerates severely burned skin during an operation, bringing the patient close to full recovery 38.
Medical Diagnosis and Surgery
Shoko combines supernatural healing with examination, anesthesia, and surgical procedures 15 38 39.
- Checks Riko Amanai with cursed energy and determines that the explosion knocked her unconscious without injuring her 15.
- Treats Haibara after the Ubusunagami mission and confirms that Nanami is stable and resting 26.
- Stabilizes a severely burned hostage before transport to Jujutsu High 38.
- Explains the use of a glucose drip for a patient who has gone without food, then removes burn-fused skin under general anesthesia while regenerating it with Reverse Cursed Technique 38.
- Successfully operates on Niji after his encounter with Jogo and Hanami 39.
Barrier Techniques
Shoko prepares a barrier at Yaga’s classroom to conceal the group’s presence and cursed energy during the plan to save Riko 17.
- Application: Provides concealment for the preparations behind Niji’s decoy operation 17.
- Limit: Warns that Tengen’s powerful barrier techniques mean their activities cannot remain hidden for long 17.
Technical Knowledge and Teaching
Shoko understands jujutsu society and follows Niji’s technique development closely enough to explain its mechanics to other sorcerers 7 22 28.
- Gives Niji an introductory overview of cursed energy, innate techniques, clan influence, assistant managers, Windows, and curse users 7.
- Explains how Niji constructs a framework of spatial threads before expanding his incomplete domain 22.
- Describes the spatial supports, fixed limbs, and stored force behind his Flash Walk after assisting with its development and treating his injuries 28.
- Teaches Niji anatomy and injury assessment, improving his healing efficiency and his ability to prioritize damaged tissues 40.
- Teaching limitation: Her explanations of Reverse Cursed Technique are difficult to follow. Gojo criticizes them, while Haibara blames his own understanding for failing to learn from her 19 23.
Equipment / Items
- Camera — Used to photograph Gojo and Geto in feminine attire, record Niji’s escape from a prank, and capture his embarrassing moments after teleportation 23 32 38.
- Medical textbooks — Regularly studies them independently, including while preparing for her medical license 10 11 13.
- Women’s outfits and a white wig — Supplies clothing for Gojo and Geto’s dress-up contest and offers to cover its costs 23.
- Cigarettes — Smokes during her explanation of jujutsu society and after treating Niji; later replaces smoking with drinking 7 17 21.
Relationships
- Sakurada Niji — Classmate, frequent patient, and later medical student under her guidance. She supports his technique experiments but confronts his willingness to sacrifice himself 6 17 28 38 40.
- Satoru Gojo — Classmate whom she frequently calls a “scumbag.” Despite her disdainful teasing, she helps treat him after Toji’s attack and collaborates with him on pranks 15 19 32.
- Suguru Geto — Classmate and fellow spectator of Niji’s battles. They play table tennis together, and she explains Niji’s unusual domain construction to him 8 22.
- Utahime Iori — Close friend who greets her with hugs and seeks her comfort after Gojo disrupts the missing-sorcerer mission. Utahime asks her to keep Niji from being led astray by Gojo and Geto 13 27.
- Yu Haibara — Junior and Reverse Cursed Technique pupil. She appreciates his straightforward cheerfulness and treats him after the Ubusunagami mission 23 26.
- Masamichi Yaga — Teacher and later principal. She assists preparations in his classroom and is instructed to contact him when Haibara and Nanami’s assignment raises suspicion 17 23.
- Toji Fushiguro — Treats his injuries after his rematch with Gojo and later helps conceal his survival 20 21.
