Qin Siyang awakened after seeming to die, and Zhao Fengjun and Chen Fenghe’s treatment restored him enough to survive. As he remained too weak to speak, Zhao Longfei secured his agreement to discuss a favor later.

• Tang Wangong revealed that Xiao Zhigang had once been the principal of Northern Glory University, which had been dissolved after its principal was replaced.
• Tang Wangong asked Qin Siyang to help his Research Hall by providing ten grams of Crimson Crystal so he could remove the three obstructive deputy ministers.
