Gawain claimed the Red Dragon Fruit, rose to Gold-level strength, and made Raven Port wealthy by robbing Loguetown’s auction buyers. After Kuro and Akin secured Goa Kingdom’s debt and sponsorship, Raven Port hosted a major martial arts tournament, where Akin faced Dellinger in the first division.

• Gaza identified Gawain’s fruit as the Mythical Zoan Dragon-Dragon Fruit, Red Dragon Form, and Gawain ate it, transforming into a crimson dragon and destroying buildings in Raven Port.
• Gawain tested his dragon powers, discovered that draining earth-vein energy strengthened him while withering the land, and began planning how to control partial Zoan transformations.
• Gaza proposed a martial arts tournament to revive Raven Port’s finances, and Gawain sent Kuro and Akin to demand sponsorship from the Goa Kingdom while he traveled to Loguetown.
• At Loguetown’s auction, Gawain bought the Bones-Bones Fruit, killed Hanafusa after he attacked, and robbed the nobles and buyers before Zephyr arrived.
• Gawain gave his Loguetown treasure to Gaza, while Kuro and Akin confronted Goa Kingdom’s rulers, secured repayment and sponsorship, and returned with the ashes of Biyand and the other dead guards.
• Akin refused Gawain’s offer of the Bones-Bones Fruit and committed himself to growing stronger through battle, raising his potential to Silver Rank as the crew trained for the tournament.
• Raven Port completed its arena and welcomed fighters from across the seas, while Gawain acquired Future Sight and prepared for the tournament’s opening.
• In the eastern division, Akin fought Dellinger through the free-for-all until Kuro stopped their clash, and both advanced as Doflamingo ordered Oni-Oni to preserve his forces and leave Gawain to someone else.

Gawain defeated Zephyr, secured a Shichibukai position, and changed the perspectives of Zephyr and Smoker as they saw how Raven Port treated its people. After strengthening his crew and preparing the captured warship Raven, Gawain left Raven Port for the Grand Line while the CP Organization began its operation involving Rob Lucci.

• Kuro defeated the tournament contestants, Fujitora challenged Gawain and lost, and Gawain scarred him before Fujitora chose to remain a Marine.
• Foxy tried to steal the Bones-Bones Fruit for Crocodile, but Gawain caught him and learned that Crocodile had arranged a deal with a World Government official.
• Akin and Kuro shared first place in the tournament, and Kuro gave Akin the Bones-Bones Fruit, which raised Akin’s potential and awakened his Conqueror’s Haki.
• Gawain defeated Zephyr and Smoker, then persuaded Zephyr to reconsider his view of pirates and Marine justice while using Zephyr’s capture to secure a Shichibukai position.
• The World Government appointed Gawain as a Shichibukai, and he brought Zephyr to Raven Port, where the former Marine listened to civilians and pirates explain the injustices that had shaped their lives.
• Ain retrieved Zephyr after Smoker and she came to recognize flaws in Marine justice, while Zephyr left resolved to seek true justice against the gods above.
• Gawain accepted investment offers, prepared Raven Port for his departure, and asked Buchi and Sam to stay behind and protect it.
• Gawain sailed for the Grand Line aboard the refitted Raven with Kuro, Akin, and several dozen crew members, while Stussy reported their departure and the CP Organization ordered Spandam to begin Rob Lucci’s operation.

Gawain’s crew fought Mushuru’s spore plague on Winter Island while Chopper and Drum Kingdom’s doctors developed a cure. As the crew faced Beasts Pirates sent by Kaido, Lucci began choosing the Raven over the World Government, and Gawain entered a fierce battle with King.

• Gawain recruited Lucci and Kalifa in exchange for the Six Powers, while they secretly continued their CP9 mission aboard the Raven.
• After the crew found Silver Moon Port destroyed by Mushuru’s spores, the infection spread aboard the Raven and Gawain raced to Drum Kingdom for medical help.
• Kureha and Chopper treated Nami and the other infected patients, while Gawain invited Chopper to join his crew and searched for Mushuru.
• Wapol refused to help the sick and tried to flee Drum Kingdom, but Dalton, Kuro, and Fan-Oka defeated him and enlisted Doctor-20’s researchers to find a cure.
• Chopper and the researchers developed medicine that killed most of the spores, while Gawain discovered Demon Form and searched for Mushuru’s group.
• Fuzf attacked the Raven and exposed Lucci as a World Government spy, but Lucci fought beside Akin and Zoro, and Kalifa concealed his wavering loyalty.
• King confronted Gawain, offered him a place in the Beasts Pirates, and badly wounded him before Gawain transformed into Demon Form and King unleashed his flaming beasts.

Gawain saved Winter Island, expanded his crew, and brought Lucci and Kalifa into the Gawain Pirates. As the crew headed to Alabasta with Vivi, Crocodile began plotting around her return and Gawain grew concerned about the kingdom’s suffering.

• Gawain destroyed the poisonous spores over Winter Island with the Azure Star of the Red Emperor, and Chopper joined his crew as its doctor.
• Dalton became king and renamed the country the Cherry Blossom Kingdom, while Spandam faced pressure to have Akin killed.
• Gawain introduced Six Powers training to the crew, and Lucci and Kalifa were exposed as the agents who had taught it to them.
• CP0 attacked Lucci and Kalifa, but Gawain’s crew intervened, killed Gismonda and the other agents, and accepted Lucci into the crew.
• Lucci and Akin reconciled, and Lucci and Kalifa joined the Gawain Pirates as they set their sights on building Pluton and pursuing the top seat.
• Gawain’s crew captured Vivi and the CP9 agents at Whiskey Peak, then agreed to take Vivi back toward Alabasta after she asked for help against Crocodile.
• Fukurou measured the crew’s Doriki, and Gawain’s blow left him unconscious before the pirates set sail for Alabasta after Cobra agreed to pay for Vivi’s return.
• Crocodile warned Cobra not to contact the Marines and proposed blaming Gawain for Vivi’s death, while Robin alerted Gawain that something was wrong at Yuca Flower Port.
