Inside the domain.
Jogo's terrifying torrent of magma easily smashed through the solid ground and surged toward Satoru Gojo, threatening to swallow him whole.
But when Satoru Gojo expanded his domain.
The terrifying, scorching torrent of magma abruptly stopped before him.
An intense white light spread rapidly outward from Satoru Gojo, sweeping in every direction with an overwhelming, irresistible force and quickly consuming all the surrounding land.
The entire domain was enveloped in brilliant white light.
Satoru Gojo and Yuji Itadori's figures receded rapidly, vanishing in an instant and giving way to an infinite expanse of strange light.
Billions of rays burst forth, like the wondrous spectacle of an exploding universe.
Jogo stood frozen in place, utterly motionless, his hands still poised in the gesture for activating his cursed technique.
His single eye widened, reflecting the endless strange light like a mirror.
All manner of bizarre things appeared before his eye: twisted, symmetrical trees, molecules spiraling around one another, densely packed bubbles suspended in the air.
He was now trapped deep within Satoru Gojo's Limitless, unable to escape.
At last, all the strange light dissipated.
In its place appeared a vast, ethereal formation in the depths of the universe.
It resembled Satoru Gojo's Six Eyes, silently gazing at Jogo.
What happened... my domain lost? I can't see anything... I can't feel anything...
No!
I can see everything!! I can feel everything!!
Information keeps pouring into me!
That's why I can't do anything...
Satoru Gojo's Unlimited Void was terrifying, forcibly stuffing an endless stream of information into another person's brain.
He stepped forward, gripped Jogo's head, and spoke gently.
"This is the inside of Limitless. Our senses constantly force information upon us so we can carry out the act of living."
"But when that transmission happens an infinite number of times, no living mind can handle it."
Satoru Gojo's fingers gradually tightened. Jogo's rigid neck trembled, resisting the painful upward pull.
"Ironic, isn't it? You have everything, yet you can't do anything except slowly wait to die."
"But I still have questions for you, so I'll stop here and spare you."
Crack!
A strange sound of twisting and tearing rang out as Satoru Gojo ripped Jogo's head clean off!
Jogo's bloodied head dropped to the ground like a ball. Satoru Gojo put his black blindfold back on and planted his long leg firmly on Jogo.
"So, who sent you here?"
Yuji Itadori stared blankly at the utterly relaxed Satoru Gojo, then looked at the bloodied head on the ground.
So this was the strongest jujutsu sorcerer?
He wasn't even a being from the same dimension!
Satoru Gojo was very interested in Jogo: a cursed spirit who could speak, possessed intelligence, and had special grade levels of cursed energy.
So his questions came one after another.
"You're not the type who acts on human orders?"
"What would you gain by killing me?"
"Who's that kid you mentioned?"
"Anyway, who's working against us?"
Satoru Gojo rocked his foot back and forth as though playing soccer, looking for all the world like an inquisitive child.
"Talk, or I'll exorcise you!"
But just then.
A tree with a chrysanthemum-like bloom at its top blossomed before him, forcing him back.
A glimmer of hope flashed in Jogo's eye.
The next second.
Countless brightly blooming flowers surrounded them.
At the sight of flowers covering the entire landscape, adorable expressions appeared on both Satoru Gojo's and Yuji Itadori's faces.
"Ooh, flowers!"
Hanami appeared on the battlefield, scooped up Jogo's head from the ground, and ran.
Even though Hanami's cursed technique had distracted Satoru Gojo and Yuji Itadori, Hanami dared not reveal even the slightest killing intent for fear of snapping Satoru Gojo out of it, much less seize the chance for a sneak attack.
Smack.
Satoru Gojo lightly slapped his cheek, forcing himself to snap out of it. "Jujutsu? Must be. It even weakened my will to fight."
He was just about to give chase when he saw thin roots coiled around Yuji Itadori's ankles, lifting him into the air.
"I'm fine, sir!"
"Go after them!"
But the next second, sharp root spikes rose from the ground, and the roots dragged Yuji Itadori straight toward their gleaming tips.
"Sorry, I spoke too soon!!!"
With a light wave of his hand, Satoru Gojo destroyed the sharp root spikes with cursed energy and saved Yuji Itadori.
When he turned back, Hanami had already fled, disappearing into the distant forest.
"Got away. Pretty good at hiding that presence. Even more unsettling than Volcano Head."
Yuji Itadori hurriedly apologized. "I'm so sorry. They got away because I held you back."
Satoru Gojo waved dismissively. "Cursed spirits of this level are gathering together. Things are getting interesting."
"Work hard, Yuji. I want all of you to grow quickly enough to beat that Volcano Head from earlier."
"Huh?!"
Elsewhere.
Inside an elegant, simply furnished wooden house.
A smile played on Araki Itsuki's lips as he brazenly studied the old man sitting before him.
His face was covered in dry wrinkles, and his long eyebrows curved downward. He looked frail and feeble, his scrawny arms resting on a cane.
What Araki Itsuki found strangest was that, despite his age, the old man still sported fashionable nose, lip, and ear studs.
He was the principal of Kyoto Prefectural Jujutsu High School and the leader of the conservative faction within Jujutsu Headquarters.
Yoshinobu Gakuganji glanced at the impudent Araki Itsuki. Just where had this boy, whose age was unknown, come from?
"Yaga isn't here, and now Satoru Gojo is gone too. All I get is some brat? The time of an old man with few days left is precious, you know!"
Araki Itsuki couldn't be bothered to entertain him and cut straight to the point. "Thanks for looking after me before."
"Oh? Before?"
Araki Itsuki chuckled. "Old man, did playing rock music rot your brain?"
"That special grade cursed spirit at the Juvenile Detention Center was no match for me. But if I don't get the privileges of a special grade, why should I shoulder the responsibility?"
Yoshinobu Gakuganji sighed.
"Good grief. Can't young people today even manage polite speech?"
Araki Itsuki leaned forward with a mocking expression. "I never intended to show you any respect, you old fool. You self-important idiot.
"You're the one who blocked the special grade application Mr. Gojo submitted for me, aren't you?"
Araki Itsuki looked thoroughly annoyed. "Listen, could you rotten, incompetent wastes just drop dead?
"Keep using your worthless status and traditions to restrain and restrict me, and you're going to regret it!"
Yoshinobu Gakuganji's right eye snapped open, fixing a hard stare on the brazen Araki Itsuki.
"Brat, you're far too arrogant!"
"Arrogant?"
Araki Itsuki burst out laughing.
"You need the ability to back up arrogance, and I happen to have it!"
Then he waved a hand casually. "Old man, I know jujutsu sorcerers are usually stronger than cursed spirits of the same grade so they can complete their missions reliably. In other words, you could have dealt with that special grade cursed spirit at the Juvenile Detention Center too.
"But does that make you confident in your strength? Do you think you can suppress me?"
"Isn't that a little too ridiculous?"
"Hahaha!"
Araki Itsuki clutched his stomach as he laughed, giving Yoshinobu Gakuganji no regard whatsoever.
"Wait!"
Miwa, who had been standing nearby the whole time, spoke up to stop Araki Itsuki.
"There's a problem with this behavior. We may have to ask you to go to the appropriate office and give a report..."
"Not going."
Araki Itsuki refused outright.
"Huh?!"
Miwa wondered whether something was wrong with her ears. Wasn't this guy just a first-year student?
So arrogant, and so cool!!!
After dismissing Miwa, Araki Itsuki turned his mocking gaze back to the grim-faced Yoshinobu Gakuganji.
"Old man, you're still only a Grade 1 Jujutsu Sorcerer, right?"
"What of it?"
Araki Itsuki smiled confidently, interlacing his fingers over his crossed right leg as he leaned lazily against the sofa.
"You're not special grade yet, so your perspective is still narrow. Looking at me, you're like a frog at the bottom of a well gazing at the moon. If you ever luck your way into the ranks of Special Grade Sorcerers, looking at me will be like a speck of plankton gazing at the heavens."
Yoshinobu Gakuganji slowly stood. His casual clothes slipped off, revealing powerful muscles, and dense cursed energy began to rise around him.
But Araki Itsuki wasn't about to indulge him. He rose and looked down at Yoshinobu Gakuganji, his voice icy.
"You groveling lackey. Are you trying to bare those rotten old teeth at me?"
