Inside the room.
Seeing Araki Itsuki pass despite giving a completely irrelevant answer, Yuji Itadori smiled knowingly.
So the entrance interview was just a formality.
He had this in the bag.
He stepped forward and bowed. "I'm Yuji Itadori. My type is tall women with big butts, like Jennifer Lawrence."
"Nice to meet you!"
But Masamichi Yaga's expression remained unchanged. "What are you here for? What do you think Jujutsu High is?"
"An interview... I'm here to learn jujutsu..."
"Once you've studied curses and learned how to exorcise them, what do you intend to do?"
Yuji Itadori stiffened. So many questions! Why was his interview different from Araki Itsuki's?
"I want to recover Ryomen Sukuna's fingers. Leaving them out there would be dangerous."
"Why?" Masamichi Yaga asked coldly.
"Accidents, disasters, illnesses. Every day, strangers die for all sorts of reasons. So if cursed spirits are responsible, you can't just leave it alone?"
"Why not simply treat people killed by cursed spirits as victims of natural disasters?"
Araki Itsuki listened, stunned.
Forget Masamichi Yaga. Your name should be Muzan!
When he learned that Yuji Itadori was using his grandfather's last words as his guiding light, Masamichi Yaga infused his cursed energy into a cursed corpse beside him.
"Those are someone else's words!"
The little doll, half a person's height with long, slender limbs, launched a barrage of attacks at Yuji Itadori.
"People reveal their true selves when they're cornered. He'll keep attacking until I get an answer that satisfies me."
Araki Itsuki and Satoru Gojo stood outside, bored, waiting for Itadori to pass the test.
Suddenly remembering something, Araki Itsuki asked with interest, "Mr. Gojo, can I get a feel for your cursed technique?"
Satoru Gojo rubbed his chin. "Sure, but I'm pretty curious about you too, Araki. Let's trade information."
"Come on, hold out your hand."
Araki Itsuki nodded, then eagerly spread his fingers and slowly reached toward Satoru Gojo's right hand.
It was a strange sensation.
An inexplicable pressure began to build, preventing Araki Itsuki's hand from getting closer. Gojo was right in front of him, yet he couldn't reach him.
Araki Itsuki gradually increased his strength, but instead of speeding up, his hand slowed down. The pressure grew too, until his speed finally dropped to zero!
"That's amazing!"
It was as though he were pushing forward with all his strength, only for an invisible force to stop him, leaving him frozen in place.
Limitless was the Gojo Clan's inherited cursed technique. It could manipulate matter on an atomic level and control space. It required extraordinarily precise control of cursed energy, so only someone with the Six Eyes could use it.
The Six Eyes were a special trait inherited through the Gojo Clan, appearing only once every few centuries. Satoru Gojo was this generation's prodigy.
Seeing Araki Itsuki's childlike curiosity, Satoru Gojo volunteered an explanation:
"Jujutsu: Stopping Force."
"It's the neutral application of Limitless. It assesses the danger of anything approaching my body based on factors such as its cursed energy, mass, and speed. Depending on the result, it either stops it or repels it."
Araki Itsuki nodded. As expected of the strongest sorcerer of the modern age. That cheat was seriously powerful.
"All right, Mr. Gojo. Your turn to ask."
"Hmm..."
"What's the deal with that weapon? Is it a cursed tool?"
Araki Itsuki shook his head and explained seriously, "It's not a cursed tool. That's Rhaast, forged from the remains of a dead star."
"He's a cunning, bloodthirsty demon. His mind is full of murderous urges, and all he wants is to take lives."
Satoru Gojo thought that sounded a little like fantasy. "Then what about your power, Araki Itsuki?"
"Cursed spirits are born from humanity's negative emotions. You know that, right, Mr. Gojo?"
Satoru Gojo nodded. Of course he knew something that basic.
"Then have you ever considered that the planet beneath our feet might feel fear too?"
"The sun fears the moment its light fades. The stars fear the moment they're annihilated. The universe dreads the arrival of the Death Omen Star."
"Those negative emotions are the source of my power."
Satoru Gojo almost suspected Araki Itsuki was insane, but his expression was earnest, without the slightest sign that he was lying.
He put on a troubled expression. "Why do you sound even scarier than Ryomen Sukuna?"
"You're cheating, aren't you?"
Araki Itsuki chuckled. "We're both cheating. You're hardly one to talk."
"But I'm sealed right now. Buy me a meal from KFC, sir, and once I break the seal, I'll bring you wealth and glory."
While the two chatted.
Yuji Itadori had already firmed up his resolve and shouted, "I don't know what it'll be like when I die, but I don't want to regret how I lived!"
After hearing that, Masamichi Yaga extended a welcoming hand to Yuji Itadori. "You passed. Welcome to Jujutsu High."
Afterward, Satoru Gojo took the two of them to the dorms, assigning them rooms near Fushiguro's.
Watching Itadori start putting pictures of big-bottomed beauties on the wall the moment he entered his room, Araki Itsuki laughed and scolded him. "You really don't bother hiding it, do you?"
"Haha."
Hearing the commotion, Fushiguro came out with a resigned expression.
"Aren't there plenty of empty rooms around here?"
"The livelier, the better."
Then Satoru Gojo continued speaking to Yuji Itadori. "You don't necessarily have to fight, Yuji. We'll bring back Ryomen Sukuna's fingers. You can just wait here for us."
Itadori clapped his hands. "No thanks. If I'm doing this, I'm doing it."
"Imagining a battered Megumi Fushiguro bringing fingers back to me while I laze around doing nothing is pretty ridiculous."
"Haha, true."
Suddenly, Satoru Gojo changed his tune. "But there's no way you won't have to fight."
Itadori caught on at once. "You were testing me!"
Looking at the ever-flippant Satoru Gojo, Araki Itsuki sighed helplessly. "Stop teasing him, Mr. Gojo. Itadori isn't the kind of kid who hides behind others."
Then he explained to Yuji Itadori, "Ryomen Sukuna's fingers aren't that easy to find. Otherwise, Jujutsu High would've collected them all already."
"Some give off a powerful presence, some conceal their presence, and others have already been absorbed by cursed spirits."
At that point, Araki Itsuki patted Yuji Itadori on the shoulder. "But now that we have you, Itadori, things have gotten much simpler."
"The Ryomen Sukuna inside you will tell you where the other fingers are so he can recover his power."
"You're not just a vessel now. You're a great detector too."
Yuji Itadori rubbed his stomach. "Would this guy really be that helpful?"
Araki Itsuki considered it. "Good point. Maybe he's already too scared to come out."
"After all..."
Araki Itsuki darted over and spread both hands toward Satoru Gojo, who stood casually with his hands in his pockets, as though introducing an honored guest.
"The strongest jujutsu sorcerer of the modern age! The one and only honored one throughout heaven and earth! The incredibly handsome Satoru Gojo!"
Satoru Gojo played along, flashing a handsome, charming smile. "Oh, come on. You're embarrassing me in front of my students."
Araki Itsuki chuckled, then pointed at himself. "And there's me, the super-invincible strongest being in the entire universe."
"Even if that guy recovered all his power, he'd probably just be serving himself up on a platter."
A fanged mouth suddenly appeared on the side of Yuji Itadori's face:
"You brats don't know your place. Just you wait!"
Ryomen Sukuna was cruel, coldhearted, and fond of slaughter, especially killing women and children.
He considered himself the sole honored one throughout heaven and earth, living by one rule alone: whether something pleased him. He cared nothing for the lives of cursed spirits or humans.
And now someone actually dared to say he was afraid!
